my glasses are 5.8" wide will these fit over them? If you don't know please don't answer. maybe and possibly are not what i'm looking for. Thanks

are these wide enugh to go over prescription glasses that are 5.5" wide?

My eyeglasses are 5.25" wide, and these safety glasses will go over them in the strictest sense, but they rest on the arms of my prescription glasses and stick way out. There's a good 3/4" space between the two, and the nose rest does not even touch my nose. These glasses are stopped from going further back because the side panels hit the outer edges of my prescription glasses (where the rim and arm connect). So, no, I would not recommend these for wearing over eyeglasses.

Can these fit an 8-year-old?

Not really. Get some dedicated youth glasses.

Are these safety rated ansi/osha z87?
