Why does the calculator not display decimal answers and only fractions, and why won't it square numbers that aren't perfect squares

Hello, the sd key will change fractions to decimals and back if needed. The calculator will simplify square roots that are not perfect squares and if you need a decimal answer then press the sd key and if will convert it to a decimal.

Is there a comma separator - thousands function for millions and billions,etc. for example 50,000,000,000?

This is not a business calculator - not sure why you'd want a comma separator when you'd be using scientific notation: 5x10^10 for example.

How is this different than the fx-300ESPLUS2 ?

I am not familiar with the fx-300ESPLU52. You might be able to go to the Casio website to get information on how they are different. This one (the fx-115) has many features which I have not yet used.

can it used in SAT exam?

I'm a retired hs teacher. I've bought this model two times for my own kids because it met their needs and can be used during standardized exams such as the SAT.
