I’m told these pencils are “amazing”.
My wife has tried Kalour products before and found them to be good quality, so when she saw these pencils she wanted to give them a try. She said they lay down every bit as well as some of her expensive pencils do, with minimal effort. The colors are vivid and they have a good amount of pigment. They go down smoothly with no crumbs or chips. The metallic pencils have a very good amount of sparkle to them, which didn’t show up as well in the pictures as she was hoping for. The colors blend well and she was pleased with their opacity. There’s a good variety of colors, in the regular pencils as well as in the metallics. The names and numbers are marked clearly on the barrels in silver and can all be read very easily. She did say that the plastic trays were a bit flimsy, but that was literally the only thing she found less than optimal about the set. In her words they are “AWESOME” and were, “a great value for the price”. She’s planning on sorting them into color order along with the rest of her oil-based pencils. They were packaged very securely, shrink-wrapped and placed in a thick plastic bag, then placed in a snug fitting box. The exposed leads were protected with foam sheeting. Every one arrived in perfect condition.

a beautiful rainbow
i never leave reviews at all, but this i had to.....This beautiful rainbow is worth every penny. First of all i managed to snag this on a lightning deal, i was going to say its a bad idea to shop online late at night whilst everyone is asleep, not this time. These are worth the late night shopping urge. They are creamy and lay down on the page like a dream, they blend wonderfully, better that most of my budget pencil sets i have got, and i have a few. i try not to spend a ton of money on pencils as there are a lot of good quality cheap pencils on the market now, some of them are pretty hard to work with, like the blendiness of them, hmmm is blendiness a word? Anywhoo....they blend like a dream and a very pigmented, they dont leave a lot of dust behind either, which can be a hazard when your doing artwork as the dust doesnt come off too well with the soft core pencils, and can make the work look a bit shoddy, not these, they are great, they cover the tooth of the paper very well with little effort, the colours are vibrant and there are plenty of them, as with all sets , the yellows can all be a bit sparse and i would like to have seen more range there, a wonderful selection of greens and purples, most of the colours there a plenty of in shades that are quite unique, so i can mix them with other shades from my other sets. I amnow saving for the 560 set, i cant wait to get my hands on them. just wish they would go into a lightning deal. Oh and when i opened my tin there were no leads broken, they fit in the trays nicely with no room for popping out and they are nice and snug in the tin, i would have liked to see the little elastic handles on the sides of the trays as the botton one is hard to get out and knowing me my fingers would slip while trying to pick them up by the finger wells alone, i think i may put washi tape on the sides so i can grab them that way. They are wonderful pencils considering they were about $30.00. As i said earlier....time to save for the huge set next.

Wow, Very Impressed!
I have been trying several more affordable brands of colored pencils and these have impressed me the most by far. The pencils have the thickest core of any I've tried so far, at 3.8mm. They are creamy and perform much like Prismacolors. I am using these on personal drawings and pieces, not in coloring books. With many of the brands of cheaper pencils, paper quality heavily influences the results. With these, I was able to color seamlessly on thin copy paper, cardstock, and heavy grade mixed media paper. Since the core is softer, the pencils do wear down quite quickly. If you have many details to fill in, I suggest to supplement the set with a harder pencil. I use an old set of Lyra pencils and Prismacolor verithins for small details and they seem to work well, although if you build up too thick a layer and try to add detail over top, you may find difficulty due to wax buildup. Some of the colors are water soluable, whether that is intentional or not, so be mindful in mixed media works to set your pencil layers prior to adding any wet media. I do not have any duplicates in my set and none were missing. I'm planning to purchase some additional sets as gifts (and shamefully, a backup set for myself due to how soft and easy to use up these pencils are!). There is an odor when you first open them, but it seems to be fading. No issues with sharpening yet, but It is good to warm the pencils first with a hair dryer. I tend to alternate between using a sharpener and a knife. Will update if any issues occur. I'm still in a bit of the testing phase, but loving them very much so far. You really can't beat the quality of these pencils with price point they are at! I would highly recommend these for beginners wanting a quality set that maybe isn't ready to splurge on bigger brands.

Amazed! I was not expecting much at this price -- so glad I bought these
These colored pencils were way better than I was expecting. The tin arrived in perfect condition, well packed. I had NO broken leads or cracked/malformed pencils (I have become accustomed to flaws in colored pencils thanks to Prismacolor, of late) but all the pencils looked pristine. The set came with swatch cards which I swatched immediately and boy was I surpriused at the quality of these pencils. I was expecting them to be like so many other inexpensive colored pencils like what you'd have as a child that barely laid down color in the faintest way possible... no these pencils I could blend with and get vibrant colors! They were not buttery smooth as prismacolor pencils, but they werer also nowhere near the price. These pencils would be great for coloring in adulty coloring books or whatever else you might want to do with them. I do not know how well they are for lightfastness. But I am certain they would work for student art and portrait practice or for anything you'd break out colored pencils for. At this price, it's worth it to use these normally and break out your expensive artist grade pencils for paid work only.

Pencils arrived in very quick time, especially allowing for COVID delays which were expected and I have experienced with orders from other sellers. NOW TO THE PENCILS. Bought this set of pencils for my wife as she is the person in the family who spends time colouring to relieve her stress. She stated that this set of pencils is better than some of the more expensive sets which I have previously purchased for her. So good that she has requested that I purchase another set.

Superou minhas expectativas!
