I installed this on a Reese ball holder. works well for my requirements

Good quality hitch and size is perfect for 50mm couplers

The locking washer it comes with is too small for the standard curt adapter, it needs to be larger

I have a Trailer from Germany and it takes the European Trailer Ball(50mm)fit is perfect.

This was needed for my bike carrier. Its a ball clamp style. And will not work with 2 inch. This fit the bill.

I regret buying this unit. I have a trailer/boat i brought to the US from Europe and I needed a 50 mm ball for my hitch. This was the only one i could find after searching locally and online. I bought it but immediately regretted as the bolt is only 3/4 inch and that means that it only rates to 3500 pounds which is just not secure enough for long hauls of my boat. I did find one with a 1 inch bolt at e-trailer.com and that rates to 8000 pounds giving me better security. This is not the fault of the product but my own lack of study before buying it

A 50mm ball is really close in size to a US 2inch ball. The major difference is the shaft part under the ball. On euro balls it is flat, so that accessories like hitch carriers and bike racks can be tightened against it. It's hard to tell this from the pictures listed with the product, but this ball has that flat shank. If you have had a European hitch, your accessories will work with this ball. My only fault with this is that there is no place to put a wrench on this, so it's harder to tighten onto the ball mount than it could be. I had to hold it with channel locks.
