Replaced the original locks on my 2020 Couger. I was just going for a replacement due to some slight issues with the originals. However, pleasantly surprised that these are better built for security, more durable (you can feel the difference), and the door shuts and latches better (no more slamming the door). Also, I no longer have any play in the door handle itself. Very easy to install (5 minutes, tops). Only 6 screws (8 if you change out the door plate). Would recommend 100%.

Very easy to install! The quality feels great, the lock is very fitting and I had no issues with fitting. The lock is very easy to lock and unlock, without causing any worry for safety! It functions great and is easy to unlock from the outside at well! Keys work great. Not too thick or any issues with sizing. I seen some people saying that they were getting locked inside and outside of their RV, but my lock has been working perfectly and as long as you’re not trying to fit it when it doesn’t fit, you should not have any issues with locking and unlocking.

Easy installation. My install required a small notch cut with a file in the door hole on the outside for lock to swing in to place. Common issue when replacing RV locks. Nice seal on outside that should keep water from entering through lock. Follow directions supplied if this is your first RV lock install. When you put the 2 halves together you have to make sure everything is in the right position to make lock function properly. Appears to be well made metal lock set replacing an electronic lock where the key pad had completely disintegrated due to exposure. I decided to get a standard RV lock that I believe will hold up better. I like how smoothly the lock opens and closes. I like the 4 keys supplied. Can’t speak to longevity yet but RV locks must be properly lubricated periodically to keep them operating smoothly. Use only DRY lube specific for use in locks. FYI. First few times I put keys in the lock they did not slide into lock smoothly. It loosened up after a few times. I will update should I encounter any problems with this lock.

This is a great product, instillation is straight forward and the unit comes with four keys. I purchased a second lockset after I locked myself out of the trailer. I now have a hidden key. Apparently, when unlocking the trailer the top lock for the handle was locked before the key was removed. With the handle locked you can exit the trailer. Probably a safety feature. To gain access I had to break the lock. Breaking the lock was easy using a pry bar under the handle. The metal in the handle lock is soft metal and was easily to break. Needless to say I destroyed the handle lock. Still, I liked the lock set enough that I purchased a second one. When leaving the trailer both locks are set to ensure the trailer is secure.

Yes, heavy duty all metal. Even the inside lever you turn to move the deadbolt is metal— it’s plastic on the cheaper locks. This lock significantly heavier metal and heavy duty— it’s easy to see the difference between the cheaper versions and this one. The cheaper locks kept breaking in the same way— the deadbolt connection to move the deadbolt in and out breaks or wears out. I’ve replaced my camper door lock four or five times— about once a year— and i’m fed up! The first time my lock broke i was locked out of my camper and had to call a locksmith. He had to cut the broken lock out but i watched him install the new one in two parts and a few screws so the next time I did it myself. But the cheap $21 locks don’t even last a full year before breaking. I have learned to notice the signs that it’s starting and kept a spare on hand to quickly change it so have not been locked out again. Live and learn. I have high hopes for this heavy duty lock— hopefully it’ll hold up and last a good long while. It’s easy to install. You just need a philips head screwdriver. Wish i’d found this heavy duty version sooner.

This lock is great! Orginally bought it because it came with 4 keys and was the same price as ordering a couple more keys for my trailer. Installed in less than 10 mins. It feels strong and operates much nicer than the original door latch. Very pleased. Great Product

Our Nov 2020 Outback locked us out one morning as we were preparing to move to our next project. I simply could not unlock the deadbolt and I had to drill the tumbler out. It was such a nice surprise to receive this 4 days before the earliest promised delivery date. The lockset installed very easily, and is definitely nicer quality. Appearance-wise it looks pretty much the same, but not only does the door shut with less force, it no longer pops open against the locked deadbolt when you pull on the latch to test the door after locking the top lock. This was an issue on both of our RV's (2018 Starcraft and 2020 Keystone Outback.) Very pleased and very happy with this vendor. I've never received a delivery from a US vendor to Canada this fast! My only concern is the key codes appear right on the exterior lock panel. This needs to be changed. RV thefts are up very significantly, and as the 'real' economy continues to be threatened thieves will find a way to get keys cut. Easily visible key codes are an invitation.
