I can not recommed this stove
I got this in feb17 after 6 months of use i can say i dont like it. It takes a lot of effort to get it going and to keep it going. It seems to me that it is lacking good air flow. The stove is very heavy and good luck putting it together on a freezing day. I will say it is well made and looks good, in the end the functionality is not there.

Really thoughtful design
I absolutely love this stove. The size is perfect for two campers and this thing shoots a mean fire. The stove packs into a neat box and it’s super easy to assemble. The overall design is ‘tight’ and the steel is strong. It’s not a light stove, but makes up for it in durability. At first, I thought they forgot the screws, so I reached out to customer service. Of course, it was me, as they fell on the floor, but they sent me spares and were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this stove and I may buy another cause the kids were fighting over it.

Probably for experienced rocket stove users. Quality materials.
I'm new to rocket stoves. And more than likely, I was doing something wrong, NOT the stove. But I had a hard time keeping enough wood in the stove, and hot enough to actually cook my food. In hindsight I bet if i used smaller wood, or something and it may have worked better I dont know. It seemed like the wood burning area was too small and hard to work properly to have an efficient burn. All I can say is if your new to using rocket stoves, this may not be the right product for you. If your experienced with rocket stoves then you would probably have zero complaints because you will know how to troubleshoot it better. I am a welder and in my opinion was a durable, and made of quality materials. I did cook a wonderful burger over it. But seemed like alot of effort. But again, I was probably doing something wrong. They refunded me without any issue. Thank you.

It's a cute idea, but it does not work ...
It's a cute idea, but it does not work. Poorly engineered. You can build a fire in it as long as you do not put a pot on top of it. When you put the pot on, it puts out the fire and just smokes -- a lot. There is not enough air intake to sustain the fire.

expensive and a sure disappointment. Thank heavens I tested it in my back ...
I give this two stars only because it's well built. I started it up using very dry lodgepole pine twigs and put two cups of water in a steel yams can to boil. The fire went out once and I had to relight it...After feeding it smaller twigs to keep it going for more than 30 minutes the water never boiled! Avoid this stove, it's very heavy, doesn't heat up well, expensive and a sure disappointment. Thank heavens I tested it in my back yard before the hills where I would depend on it. The Toaks gassification stove is half the price, made of titanium so very light and easy to light (Toaks has instruction videos to teach you to light it and hotash just has advertising videos) and boiled two cups of water in under 8 minutes! Please watch out for this stove! Unless you want to buy mine! .... It's for sale and works...lol

Size is great for backpacks and works awesome with my titanium cookware. Very well built stove for the size.

HEAVY, HEAVY, HEAVY
Take this hiking/backpacking, RIDICULOUS. I carry usually only around 12-15lbs on my backpacking hikes. This thing weights over 3lbs more than my quilt, pad combined. Loose a piece of this complicated puzzle stove and you've made it useless. Needs a lot of work to make it functional and definitely needs to be made lighter. I hope they come up with something better in the future.

works perfect
Not good for hiking to heavy, but works amazingly well.

I received this product inside undamaged packaging. However once opened I found part of the Hotash Stove was bent (see pic). I immediately contacted Hotash via their web page and soon received a response from an employee who assured me that a replacement unit would be sent. I was pleased with this response. However, I have now been waiting many months now since tne replacement note and I. have also sent further equerries to no avail via the webpage. Absolutkly no further feedback fro. Hoptash at all. Very disappointed in the outcome. Would appreciate some feedback from Hotash. Regards, Peter Bull
