そのまま舐めると甘くて冷んやりとして不思議な感じです。 上白糖よりは甘みが薄いのですが、クセや特有の匂いなどは全く無く、そのまま砂糖の代わりに使用できます。 また食後に、だんだんと口の中がネバネバしてきたり、歯がザラつくことがありますが、キシリトールは口内の菌が分解できず、働きを阻害するため虫歯予防にもなり、舐めるだけでもスッキリします。 なので自分はコーヒーに砂糖の代わりに入れています。(風味には全く変化は無く、飲むと口の中がサラサラしたままの状態をキープできるのでかなり快適です。) 化学薬品のような名前ですが、天然由来100%なのも安心です。 摂取してもすぐに血糖値が上がらないなど、砂糖の代わりに使うメリットは多いのですが、値段が若干高いのでコーヒーにチマチマ入れるだけになりそうです。 ティースプーン2杯で3g程度なので、コーヒー150杯分くらいと考えればそこそこ持ちます。 何よりも口の中がネバネバしない事が快適なので、なくなったらリピートします。

I use this with Glycerine oil to make my facial skin spray.

Xylitol tastes like normal sugar and it is a great sugar substitute. I would melt it to make candy for my oral health. It doesn’t really matter to me that it is not birch xylitol because I do not notice a difference from it. This is more affordable so I will keep on purchasing it.
