I LOVE everything about these sturdy well made brushes. The bristles are soft but firm enough to clean inside glasses and dishes encrusted with food. The handles are super thick and sturdy. Highly recommend. I've been buying Redecker brushes with horsehair and the natural more firm bristles and they hold super well. When there is any sign of mold, I just soak in hydrogen peroxide very briefly and dry. They are good to go again. Important to not let sit in water and dry out after each use to keep them for years of use. Real workhorse brushes.

These are pretty fine. Would be great if the bristles were a little more dense, but otherwise, these are great performing kitchen brushes. The handles are nice wood and the natural bristles are perfect for cleaning rather than those rather harsh, noisy, flicky, scratchy synthetic brushes. Works great on just about everything - glass, plastic, stainless, enamelware. We have both long handled and long handled. It's important to keep the brushes air drying between uses, so we simply keep them upright. Our similar brushes have lasted for years. Very satisfied with these.

Cleans better than plastic brushes. Great price buying two. The first one going strong for 6 months looking almost new. Very little wear on bristles. I clean with boiling water.

The Bürstenhaus Redecker 13.6-inch Soft Horsehair Bottle Brush is very functional and fairly well made of quality materials (beechwood handle and horsehair bristles). At 13-3/4" from the end of the handle to the end of the brush bristles, the brush reaches to the bottom of even tall bottles and thermoses. The outermost diameter of the bristles is 2-1/4". The handle diameter at the brush head is 1". The brush easily fits into my thermoses with 1-3/8" diameter openings. While the individual horse hairs are soft, the tufts are stiff and abrasive enough to provide gentle cleaning action. My only complaint about the Bürstenhaus Redecker 13.6-inch Soft Horsehair Bottle Brush is that it stinks like the horse it's made of when wet, which, of course, is whenever it's used! While I admire the construction of this brush, the smell makes me think maybe I should have bought a brush with nylon bristles instead. It might be heresy to some for me to say this, but all natural materials aren't always necessarily better! UPDATE April 19, 2015: After repeated use and a couple of soakings in white vinegar the odor is no longer objectionable. I did end up also getting Rubbermaid Comfort Grip Bottle Brush, Bottle Brush (FG6C1900) with nylon bristles. Both brushes have their uses (the nylon bristles are definitely stiffer and more abrasive than the horse hair bristles), but I generally prefer using the Bürstenhaus Redecker 13.6-inch Soft Horsehair Bottle Brush for its old-world quality and character. One final thing I'll note, as others have, is that the wood is staining, as expected, from being submersed in water.

Super practical, natural materials and effective. I had one for about a year dedicated to dishes and retired it to clean the kiddie pool, picnic table, etc. and when it gets too far gone for that I'll pull the bristles out and use the handle as kindling. The long handle and flexible bristles are great for getting into and reaching the bottoms of narrow mouth/deep bottles and jars. Allow proper ventilation and don't let the bristles matt so the brush can dry out between uses or it will mold.

I'm avoiding junk made in China. I couldn't find any long handled dish brushes made in the USA; these at least are made in Germany. They're well made and not going to fall apart any time soon. Since they are made from biodegradable materials, they will start to rot if you keep them constantly wet, so let them dry out in a sunny window between uses (sunlight kills mold and bacteria for all you germaphobes out there). The bristles are softer than the short handled scrubbers I bought along with it; this scrubber will not scratch those loooong, skinny fancy glasses you bought at Tiffany & Co. to impress THE Joneses (yes, THOSE Joneses!) so if you have dried enchilada sauce in the bottom of your thermos (don't let it happen to you...) let it soak a bit. The handle is even longer than I thought, and reaches to the bottom of my 40 oz thermos that I will NEVER cram enchiladas into again with ease. Vote with your dollars! Buy American whenever you can, but if you can't, German will serve you well for many years.

Worth the high price. I am back to order 2 more after 2 years. My last one was still kicking but my kid broke the handle. The bristles are a bit soft but they don't squash down or flatten out from pressure like the plastic ones that I was replacing every month or so. And they aren't ugly. I do let it do out overnight fully.

Wirklich empfehlenswert und den relativ hohen Preis mehr als Wert! Sehr gut und angenehm in der Hand liegender Buchenholzgriff bestückt mit festen und doch angenehmen weichen Naturborsten. Schluss mit dem täglichem Mikro- und Nanoplastik der billigen Plastikbürsten! Die Naturborsten reinigen wirklich hervorragend: Meine Gläser waren ohne Spülmittel nur mit warmem Wasser ruckzuck einwandfrei sauber. Die Borsten verfärben sich beim Kontakt mit stark färbenden Gewürzen wie Kurkuma.

Por ahora es el mejor cepillo de botellas que tengo, y tengo bastantes ya que hago conservas en botellas de litro que son largas para ahorrar espacio y me es muy necesario poder limpiarlas bien por dentro. El mango es de madera y las cerdas son naturales y lo suficientemente duras como para rascar bien por dentro. Estéticamente es bonito, mucho más bonito que los de plástico que se ven por ahí, lo cual es una ventaja pero no es por eso que me gusta tanto, es que además es más funcional, no me salpica cuando saco el cepillo por un cuello estrecho de botella, como sí hacen los otros cepillos que tengo. El mango al ser de madera y rígido permite moverlo dentro de la botella y así limpiar más a fondo, apretando más o menos, otros que son de metal fino se doblan y al final tienes que limpiar a base de remojar bien. Un engorro puesto que dejas el fregadero lleno de botes. Además el mango es lo suficientemente largo como para sobresalir de las botellas más altas que tengo, con lo que no tengo q andar metiendo los dedos dentro de los botes, con lo que no se pierde fuerza para refregar. Espero que dure mucho. Volvería a comprarlo sin ninguna duda.

Die Bürste ist einwandfrei verarbeitet. Durch den extra langen Griff kann man auch super höhere Vasen oder Flaschen reinigen. Der Bürstenkopf ist mir ein wenig zu breit, ich wollte einen etwas schmäleren haben. Trotzdem werde ich Sie behalten, da sie für die gängigen Flaschen super ist ! Die Lieferung erfolgte innerhalb sehr schnell, der Karton und das Füllmaterial ist umweltfreundlich, was mir sehr wichtig ist. Alles in einem 5 Sterne für das Produkt uns dem Anbieter.
