I have blue black hair. I plan on using this on my scalp. Will this lighten my hair color or darken my hair?

I do not think henna will make blue black hair lighter. Henna made my medium brown hair turn auburn in color after a seven hour application. Henna that contains no other color pigments is naturally red. There are pigmented henna out there, unsure of their quality.
