Because I love my dog. But I’m also tired of being his unpaid full-time handler.
I bought this 10-foot tie-out cable so I could enjoy the outdoors with my dog, not because of my dog. He’s a sweet boy, don’t get me wrong, but he has the attention span of a caffeinated toddler in a squirrel costume and absolutely no interest in sitting still unless physically tethered to a human soul. This cable changed the game. I clip it to a tree, chair, fence post, whatever, and suddenly he’s “spending quality time with me” without turning me into a human anchor. He gets 10 feet of freedom. I get to sip my iced coffee in peace. We call that compromise. It’s strong, coated, and tangle-resistant-ish (as long as you don’t let your dog do full parkour around a patio set). The clips are secure, and it’s lightweight enough to toss in a bag for travel or spontaneous emotional support picnics. Now he sunbathes nearby while I read a book and pretend I’m in a dog food commercial. We’re both thriving. Sort of. If you love your dog but also love having use of both your hands, get this. It’s like giving them space with conditions — like any healthy relationship.

Too short for most dogs.
It worked as described. No rocket science here! My dog doesn't like it because it's too short. Of course my dog doesn't like being leashed or tethered at all. 20 ft is a lttle better for him, but I have to make sure he has a clear path for 20' radius so he won't get tangled up.

Sturdy and cheap!
Needed a tie-out to use on the pet stake we purchased, and this was so cheap we couldn't think of a reason why not. It is definitely NOT for big dogs (ours is 12lbs). It works well and is sturdy enough to not worry about it snapping or the dog chewing through it. My only complaint is that it's silver in color so can be a trip hazard (wish it was red or yellow or something that stands out). But other than that, it's a great cheap product and I wouldn't bother paying more than this for another tie-out when this one does the trick (for SMALL/MEDIUM dogs).

I'm happy, but our dog is 5lbs
This was the perfect thing for us. I have a little chihuahua who only weighs 5.5 lbs. We wanted a backyard run for him that wouldn't weigh him down. The cord is perfectly thin and light to allow him to run around, and the hooks are small as well so it doesn't weigh his neck down at the collar. I can't comment on the chewing or strength because he has not tested them much, but it does seem like a strong, quality cord that he definitely could never break. As far as freedom of movement, this is the one.

I would highly recommend.
This cable is light weight ,but strong. I tried others and this one is perfect for what I needed. I use it to tether my puppy by putting it on the inside of a closet door .I hooked it around the door knob and it hangs easily down and comes out under the door.. Perfect, If I want it longer I can just open the door and allow it to comes out the side of the door. It's so thin the door can still close easily! It's strong and well made, but flexible! So, far it hasn't even made a mark on the pain because it's also coated..Great tie out OR in cable! I have use it out in the yard too. With a large screw in the ground metal sytle tie out holder.perfect!

Getting Rusty
The tie out is the perfect length for my needs. There are two little red caps on each end covering the cable connection. Why? They’re not secured and slide up and down the cable until the dog decides to eat them. It was nice and bright when I first got it but it’s rusting between the cable and plastic coating. Doesn’t affect the way it works but looks bad like this.

Perfect Size
I have a little Chihuahua who was a stray that I adopted and loves being outside. She wants hooked up to be with my other dog who also loves being outside. While I do dishes I can watch them plus have security cameras I can also watch them. I have to make them come inside. So this chain is a great weight for her. Many people are against chains for dogs. Well for their safety, when you can't be outside with them I say ask your dog they will say Hey can you please stop being silly. We love it!
