I can’t agree with the negative reviews here. This is a solid Cisco unmanaged switch that does its job. An important, but basic one. Handshakes. Accept no substitutes because the others will disappoint. They are cheaper for a reason! For a basic network setup, this is perfect.

I worked for Cisco systems myself back in the early 2000s and this don’t make my bias person this give to me the opportunity to give an educated opinion. Easy setup we can say just plug and play, size is normal for the number of ports, the build quality is metal, recommended for beginners or people who just want the thing done quick and easy. Great value.

Simple and reliable switch from a well known brand. I usually use lower cost items from competitors for non-critical deployments, but this low cost Cisco switch is a great choice for more mission critical / secure environments.

I have 10 of these in my rats-nest of a lab. Very convenient. Be careful that there is a tiny on/off switch that's hard to notice. Once I thought one had failed, but it had just been switched off. :)
