An excellant product.
The absolute best Sumatran coffee I have ever had! Used to drink the Kirkland red bag and after that was no longer available I have been searching for a new brand. Low acid and a really great taste!! It has a very smooth taste and the roast they use is perfect for bringing out the flavor of the beans.

Smooth and flavorful
It has a smooth body with bright citrus notes, a hint of sweetness, and a clean, crisp finish. The aroma is rich and inviting, making it perfect for pour-over, drip, or French press brewing. If you enjoy high-quality, single-origin coffee with a bright yet smooth profile, this one is a must-try!

100% Arabica, fresh and low acid.
Really great coffee. It is low-acidity so doesn't upset my stomach. Good value for the money especially when purchased using my Amazon Prime membership because I don't pay shipping. Crema is good when making espresso especially for my Long Black (backward Americano) coffee drinks. Really like that each bag comes with clear label that gives roast and best used by dates. This makes it easy to use when I have other beans.

If you know good coffee then this is for you
This coffee is the real deal folks, ignore the poor reviews as those people don't know what to expect from a good coffee bean and roasting company. This coffee, the Costa Rican Reserve Tarrazu, is worth every penny and more. It is smooth and rich in real coffee flavor, delicious to the last drop. It comes labeled properly, which includes roast date and expiration date. The company sources the beans from the higher, volcanic mountains in Costa Rica. ALL high altitude mountain coffee beans are going to cost more than Folgers, they are harder to care for and harvest! The price for this brand is better than any other brand I've seen and bought, for the quality. You DON'T want to drink fresh roast coffee, the beans are not ready yet, as most coffee shops lead you to believe. My bag has a roast date of April, which happens to match when I got it...in April. I put it in the freezer for long-term storage and opened it 2weeks ago (late August) and the coffee has been perfect! So if you really know coffee and want a great tasting, perfectly roasted bean and willing to pay more than Folgers price then this coffee is for you!

Best looking, worst tasting beans I've ever had. Huge disappointment.
My son traveled to Guatemala this summer and brought back some roasted whole beans from a farm he visited. They were wonderful so I decided to try and find something similar on Amazon. This company and product are highly rated so I gave them a try. When the product arrived, I could smell the beans as I carried the mailing envelope (no box?) up to my house from the mailbox. Apparently there's an air leak in the seal that perhaps is intentional to allow pressure to be released in transit. While holding the envelope under my arm I guess it was squeezing out the air in the bag. Once inside I just had to try some. The beans themselves were very dark and quite oily. And they did smell wonderful. I prepared a medium grind drip maker pot of seven cups (my usual morning routine) and prepared to enjoy. As the coffee was brewing, I noticed I didn't really smell much, which struck me as odd given how strong it smelled in the bag. Then I had some. A small sip and my first impression was "wow, this is extremely bitter!" I rinsed with cold water and tried a normal cup: with lots of low-fat milk. I was disappointed at the lack of any nutty or other aromatic notes. It was just really bitter. Before I could finish the first cup, I became nauseated. Sadly, I dumped the pot, took an antacid, and drank a glass of water. Mind you, I had just eaten before this experiemnt. Normally I would try again, but this was such a bad experience, I can't justify a repeat. Needless to say, I can't recommend this coffee. The packaging is beautiful, the stated product philosophy is perfect, the beans smelled and looked great, but none of that matters if the coffee tastes bad and makes you sick. I like strong dark roast coffee and I never get sick from it so this is all on the product. I suppose it is possible something was wrong with the bag I bought but I am inclined to think not.
