This was a breeze to put together. All of the equipment was included and even the Allen wrench it seems well built And a great value for what it cost. Just remember, this luggage rack does not come with the cross braces that are needed. Those have to be purchased separately. And also, the bag is smaller than the 64” rack. It looks like it is maybe 48” x 48”. But still well made.

I bought this to carry my two 20L Jerry cans of gasoline and extraction tools while on my 7000 km on/off-road trip in northern BC, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. The only gripe is the way the clamps fit to the vehicle crossbar. The wing nuts protrude into the cargo space. I had to add thin pieces of plywood so that the bottoms of the Jerry cans were not compromised and punctured. Having said that, though the unit performed well and I was impressed with its ruggedness.

I installed this product in Canada two weeks ago. I just got to Florida and every single soldering is rusted.

The rack feels like a nice solid build. You can leave the middle section out for a smaller rack. Used it to go camping and had no issues. I like the net it comes with to hold your items, although I still used a couple of straps, just in case. Didn’t used the bag, but it feels sturdy too.

First note: this does NOT include the cross bars, but does securely attach to the crossbars. This basket was super easy to assemble, attach and secure. It fits nicely on the roof and isn’t too big. But was enough to hold two large suitcases and a large duffel as well. I tested it out a 4,000 mile road trip and it held up VERY well. No leaks. Nothing came loose. Note: the net is made of elastic cord, and parts of it did stretch to the point of not being elastic anymore. It still stayed in place and was secure (I didn’t loose any items), but it is something to be aware of depending on how long you’re traveling.
