The antenna works great in my area which is Nassau county Long Island close to Queens. It may not work for your area. That doesn't mean it doesn't work, that all depends on how far you are from the broadcast signal. You can easily search online for your area and find out which over the air channels come in clear. I previously bought an antenna to hang in my window and it was junk. After setting up this antenna and scanning for channels it found 69 channels. I would say almost 40 of them are crystal clear HD. If you're looking for the main news channels, this is a great way to get it without paying any money per month. I connected this to my existing coaxial cables outside. Therefore any TV I plug into the plates in my house will get the same channels. I highly recommend this antenna but do your research for your area!

The reviews are so mixed on this but I thought I'd take a chance. I had a really nice antenna that was destroyed in a wind storm. The roof antenna was over ten years old. We recently covered our Deck so rooftop access is limited. I decided to try this antenna. It's lightweight and totally sealed. I have no idea what's really inside that pvc pipe without destroying it. I set it up outside on a mounting bracket for and old DirecTV dish. At first it seemed to work. I would set it up and do the channel scan and I would get decent reception. I'd move my ladder back to the garage and then the reception was gone. I'd go back out with my ladder readjust the direction pointed and then go back into the house. Everything looked good. Put the ladder away. The signal was gone. The only thing I can think of here is the ladder was boosting the signal to whatever was in that pvc pipe. I don't think that pvc pipe had much of anything. I don't recommend. It just didn't work for me. I've done some research and I think there are much better diy options out there.

The suction cup clips do not work to hold the antenna’s weight. We had to use 2 broom handle clips and mounted those to our siding then snapped in the stick into the clips. Reception is very good for our rural area. We get all 4 major networks and the CW.

This Magic Stick antenna is unbelievable. You won’ believe how many channels you can get and how clear they come in. Like I said, it is unbelievable. I don’t think you will be disappointed with your purchase.

Easy to install and picked up some channels. Just could not pull in the ones I wanted. Must be too far away from my location. Tried to move the antenna location and direction a few times but still not getting all the available channels. Not bad for the price but was hoping for better.

My brother have one and he say it was great he could get the Bulls games ,so I had to get it he was right!

Bought this with the knowledge I would be returning it shortly after finding out it didn't work.After the initial test in the window I got 64 channels with fairly good reception, however I did not like the cluttered look in the window. The next location was on a metal cabinet next to the window (1 foot away), this location resulted in 69 channels with fairly good reception. I then attached a magnet to the Magic Stick Max HD to keep attached to the cabinet. Still got the 69 channels but the clarity in reception improved significantly.
