mother-in-law won't use anything else!
We get this every year and find that recent years, Amazon is the best place to get these from - sometimes through Morrisons, but as we buy 10-12, getting them delivered is the way forward! We get these around September time each year as my mother-in-law starts her Christmas baking - or at least getting everything together to make a start... At the end of the day, this product gets me a biscuit tin full of lemon curd tarts - so I'd give more stars if I could 😂. My MIL will not buy any alternative/replacement - it has to be Trex because it's what she has always used is a quality product which gives her value for money as she is able to make quality Christmas pastries that are very well sought after within our family!!

Versatile fat, with many uses
This is excellent for roasting and baking. It is also perfect when rolling out coloured sugarpaste/fondant icing - smear a very small amount over your flat surface to avoid sticking. Unlike icing sugar, it won't colour or dry out the paste. Similarly, rub a tiny amount on your fingers when modelling decorations. Always experiment with a small quantity of paste first, to ensure the technique works for you and the particular fondant you are using.

Good Alternative to Butter
I find this very good as an alternative to butter. I don’t like the taste of butter and this has a neutral taste, so works well. I like that it’s non-hydrogenated vegetable fat. I use it for baking only. It is great for cookies, pie crust, and brownies.

A true old fashioned baking staple
Love trex for non animal cooking. Butter and trex make the best crispy flaky pastry. Just can’t buy it in Sainsbury’s. Vegan but palm oil.
