What to say about this, they are quality 458 socom reloading dies that you would come to expect with lee. They are new, not returned or used. You can see some plastic shavings in the threads, buts that’s from normal movement of dies themselves during handling and shipping.

.458 factory ammo is expensive. Ordered these dies with factory crimp die and some brass instead. Have only shot my hand loads. Consistent velocities on the chronograph and tight groups. As good as all of the Lee dies I have. Big bore AR fun for less $! Lots of bullet choices in .458 make for a lot of handloading possibilities. Used these on 300 grain HP and ballistic tip so far, should work fine for the heavier weight bullets as well.

Excellent dies that do exactly what they are supposed to do! The .458 SOCOM is surprisingly easy to load, and these dies are very high quality and help me to turn out nice-looking, functional ammunition.It all chambered and functioned perfectly through my side-action (straight-pull bolt action) "BAR-15" (Bolt Action Rifle-15)!I would, and will buy Lee Dies again...actually I already did! I bought the Lee Factory Crimp die for .458 SOCOM!

They want the up stroke on the powder thru expander die to be a little forceful to shake and ensure powder doesn't stick to the die walls, but I find it very annoying...sometimes I lose my primer in the primer holder during the process. Other than that it's great.

I like lee dies as they come with a shell holder and are easy to use with their lock rings. I’ve reloaded a couple of hundred rounds with this so far and they seem to be holding up
