It will work well but it will slip off of filters once in a while as it doesn't connect to the filter at the top where the spring is. Very easy to use. It fits on filters well despite the springs. If it does slip it's only because the guy before you put the filter on way too tight. I prefer the claw style for the work I do but this version works great also. It's a well built tool and will not bend as it has good thickness. Made in USA if I'm not mistaken. Great value in my opinion. Destroys Subaru filters which isn't a big deal as I am putting a new filter on anyways.

Works better than any other style of filter wrench, and I've tried nearly all of them. It performed extremely well in TTS's testing on youtube recently as well if you want to see impartial data of different styles.

Got this for my Mazda CX-50 to do oil changes. Perfect size for this vehicle and it was almost as if it were made for it. One of the easiest oil changes I’ve ever done. Only used it twice but it looks like it’s built to last.

Every mechanic should have one of these I have like 5 diff types of filter tools this is by far the best one and it’s cheap fits over the filter and bites down and turns and there affordable and made in the US it’s a win

This tool is amazing and easy to use, I had to replace this same tool three times because the spring doesn’t last long and falls off and the tool no longer works well. I’m hoping the manufacturer will start selling this tool with additional springs or sell the spring separately because this is a great tool.

Triumph filter levered on by dealers made an oil change an absolute hassle with oem cap slipping off filter. This sorted it no problem.
