In this photo you can see that I have the straps like a backpack. I like that I can use this on my upper/middle back where the problem is and can walk around with it but did not figure out how to do this for many days of hassling with the straps horizontal. They obviously do not work if horizontal and standing up. Laying on it or having it on top as in the photo on the box works but not if you need to be ambulatory. It does not stay cold long enough for me as body heat obviously dissipates it but 15 minutes for some may be enough. I needed it longer. It could be thicker/contain more gel is kind of flat. It does get cold very fast so maybe more gel would take longer for it to get cold enough especially if in a lot of discomfort and need it ready fast and continuously. In this case it is a fractured vertabrae that is getting some relief and making me more comfortable. I am mainly using the plastic side but in bed laying on top of it with a nightgown I like the soft side. Reasonably priced.

I have used it twice on my back while sitting in a recliner. I placed a dish towel on the front and on the back to keep the recliner dry and because it was a little too cold on my back while wearing a t-shirt. It stayed cold the full 30 minutes I used it. I am 5'6" and it is long enough to place up to my shoulders and down to my waist. It seems well made and so far no complaints.

The size is perfect. It will also work on your entire leg or arm if needed.

Like I said its size covers the whole lower back. Also, it has it's own soft side, in a nice material, so that you won't get frost bite and you don't need to have a towel in between the gel pack and your back. There are multiple uses for this gel pack, besides the back. It's a great product!!

This interchangeable pad works either as a Hot or Cold pad that is truly the SAME SIZE in length as the one my Chiropractor uses on me! It is the largest one I have seen to buy! It goes from your neck down to your low back for the convenience of getting to use only one large pad instead of having several different ones which would get out of place at different times. This pad can freeze the pain out of OR warm all the muscles up and down the neck and back at ONCE !!! It uses a gel inside it that does not freeze completely hard but is still movable if you squeeze it hard enough or put it on the floor with a towel and step on it to adjust the shape. A bargain to buy one large freezable unit and not have to buy so many separate packs for the higher overall price. I've had lots of ongoing neck, back and hip pain which I have had for thirty-five years and I LOVE this item !!! A+++++ Highly recommended and a dependable seller. 5 Stars

I bought this because we were having a heat wave and I don’t have AC 😂 it actually helped so much. I’d put it under me when I slept and it covered my entire back portion. It really helped cool me down & feels great on my muscles! One side is colder than the other which is great too for different purposes. Happy with my purchase!!

Perfect for recovering post total knee replacement. Much easier than using smaller ice packs. The straps help maintain snug contact around the entire length of the leg.

This ice pack is excellent. It is huge and the straps keep it where you need it without the ice pack flopping around or causing discomfort.

Good coverage Lasts longer than other ice packs Does not give you a freeze burn, sadly experienced it with another ice pack My husband has a bad knee for a week or so, but with the straps, it helped him to walk around with it / sit with it on.
