They're Scarpa.
What can I add? They're Scarpa. Excellent brand known for quality boots and shoes. I've had them before and never failed me. Always kept the water out. Very comfortable and yet robust at the same time. Best leather only, Full skin. Vibram soles and goretex seams. You get what you pay for. Very happy with my purchase. Looking forward to hiking in them. Advice, get some Scarpa cream, insoles and laces. If you look after the leather they last twice as long. You will need new laces. They last so well the laces disintegrate long before the boots are finished. Insoles important for comfort. With daily use they should last about one year, but then you need to replace. Size fit, I would advise to buy a size larger as you'll probably be wearing thick socks with them. I buy one size larger anyway because I have wide feet and I find that fits me perfect. But seriously, I wouldn't go fell walking or climb a mountain in anything other than Scarpa. I swear by them. High Recommend.

Scarps Terra GTX Walking Boots
Worn them for the first time today and despite that, they were very comfortable to wear, no rubbing or soreness anywhere. They were recommended to me by a friend, I would also pass on my recommendation following the first trip out. Very stable throughout the walk that included a steep incline and descent. Quality boot! I would shop around as the price can vary significantly, most favourable price was on Amazon!

Huge disappointment - don't waste your money
Don't waste your money.I've used Scarpa for years but they have downgraded the quality of these so far you might as well get a cheap pair. My brother still wears his that were made in the 1990s. His are a totally different boot - his are the boots that Scarpa built their brand on. These are nothing like that. After just one year, I'm getting wet feet in damp grass. I treat them with the fancy Scarpa gloop but the quality just isn't there.Don't be disappointed.

Disappointing
The boots were comfortable straight from the box and good to wear, but the water resistance was always suspect. My feet felt the damp when walking through wet grass, for example. I have applied Scarpa HS12 Cream to them regularly, often daily; but after just under 10 months they have failed. The leather has cracked and on the right boot, has broken right through to the inner lining (see photos). The soles are hardly worn, but the boots are no longer serviceable to wear in the UK countryside. I had hoped for better.

Great quality, quite comfortable.
As many have said, comfortable from the start, no breaking in required. Soft, good quality leather, easy and quick fastening /lacing up, great ankle support and so far perfectly waterproof. Docking one star as I personally find the sole a bit too stiff (personally - my brother, who has the same boots, for example isn't bothered). That's great if you are walking on uneven terrain or soft ground, a bit less if you happen to have to walk on a flat, hard surface, even for as little as 20-30 minutes - it does make my feet ache a little.

Really nice walking boot. Second pair.
I have bought these before. I am not a mountain walker but more of a woods and jungle walker. These are waterproof and a reliable size. My old ones have lasted years with no issues only that they have now worn down a bit but still have many more miles left. Like slippers now. Bonus from work, so spent on another pair for later.
