Great piece of kitchen equipment like it very much pity you have to pay extra for waffle plates but the grill is very well made.

Brilliant

Very easy to clean, one button to press to remove each plate. Feels very very solid and works as expected. Longing mechanism seems like it could be an issue as the selector slider has unlock with one click down, and one click up starts the open with the top grill being supported (so as not to crush what's cooking).

The item delivered not new with multiple scratches and damaged box.

EDIT: so I re-ordered this item thinking the replacement item would be fine but how wrong was I! The second one arrived with chips in the front right hand corner of the outside of the machine – as you can see, it is rather obvious. Cannot decide at the moment whether to keep a return – when you buy something brand-new for this amount of money, you expect it to be perfect. …. So I haven’t had a chance to use it. When I opened the box, the top panini plate had a white mark on it where the enamel paint had already chipped (right in the middle of the plate) so I didn’t want to risk keeping and using it as it may ‘spread’. This may sound very picky but I was also disappointed that the plates were not cast iron but a cheaper material and the element isn’t built into the plates as I thought it was. It’s also quite a big grill and even though you can store it on its side, it’s just yet another kitchen gadget taking up space on my counter. I have arranged for a return.
