I have 4 wires, 1st wire is w/ 2nd y/3rd is g/4th is rh will this thermostat work with these wires?

4 wires? Best you can do is hook up Red, Green, Common, them either; White (heat) or Yellow (AC). Hook-up which ever you need for that months weather. Then order the 5 or 8 wire cable to replace it, 8 wires would make it more future proof if you get a new HVAC system or new thermostat in 10 years. But then you can hook up all the correct wires when you replace the cable. It shouldn't be hard to replace, it's just a low voltage wire in the wall, most likely in a hallway above the HVAC unit. Everything will work now, and give you time to replace it a few weeks later.

Does this work with my google home pod??

Homepod doesn´t have any support for Nest Thermostat at the moment.

Will use this for a gas heater in garage. I don't want the thermostat to auto adjust the temperature if no one is home. Can this feature be disabled?
