VIZIO D48-D0 D-Series 48" Class Full Array LED Smart TV (Black)

This is a great TV! Awesome picture, great features/ports, very simple, satisfactory sound, good value.It has an auto backlight feature, similar to auto brightness on cell phones, which essentially dims or brightens the display as needed. I found this setting to be very helpful and time saving for day/night viewing. This feature can easily be turned on/off if that's not what you're looking for.The smart features are a little lackluster. That's not a huge deal to me because I would prefer TVs with no smart features, I would rather keep displays as displays and handle the logic elsewhere (chromecast, roku, amazon fire, etc). The apps are slow and sometimes unresponsive, even on my symmetrical gig network. This model does have built in chromecast capabilities which is really cool. You can cast netflix, hulu, and many other apps right from your phone to this tv without any other hardware. It still just pulls up the built in apps on the tv so it may not be useful. I definitely prefer a real chromecast and have had better performance with it.The reason there are so few reviews is because its so new. This is the 2016 model first available January 10, 2016. The one star review listed is not for this TV.

Great picture and features, but the sound quality is awful. This was my first Vizio television and the audio is inferior to Sony and Samsung. I would not recommend unless using a soundbar or home theater system.

I have had this TV for about a month. I would really rate this 41/2 stars, but there is no way to do half stars. The TV arrived at the time amazon promised. It came in one piece, I was very nervous about having a TV shipped through UPS, but everything was fine. The initial setup was very easy, the picture was OK, and after a little adjustment, looked great. Even the sound is fantastic for a flat screen, you do not need a soundbar unless you want REALLY good sound. I have it hooked up through my stereo receiver. This is one of the few TVs that actually has a RCA audio out (Red and white) jacks. This can be hooked into an older stereo.As for the smart features, I will only really use Netflix and Amazon Prime. (I see absolutely no reason to go to Facebook on a TV, although there is a Facebook app preloaded). Netflix looks very good, the only reason why it lost 1/2 star for me is it does not pick up my house wifi like it should. It works for the most part, but once in a while, Netflix will re-buffer.In summary, I bought this TV from Amazon for $399. A fantastic value for a 48 inch smart TV. Great picture, good sound. I strongly recommend this TV.

So far we are enjoying th TV. Picture quality is great. Only thing I noticed is the only way to control the t. Is with the remote. No buttons on the tv itself. The remote is also cheap...it does not respond well. Sometimes have to point it just right and press the buttons a few times, but the price reflects that I believe.

I am rewriting my review....originally was given 3 stars, it now goes to 1, as I simply had my DVR plugged into the tv for a year, and just as the 1 year warranty expires, the tv's board goes out, STAY AWAY FROM VIZIO, i know you wanna go vizio to save some $, but in a year when you "will" be buying another TV, you wont be buying a vizio...Everyone I know told me to steer clear of Vizio and I just didnt listen, save yourself the money/time, and just go get a Samsung, even if it's a couple years old....it's better than buying a TV twice, and after you call in to Support, they try and sell you a TV and offer you a repair place, how nice of them I thought after a 1 year old brand new TV goes out.

Love love love the TV and even a little stand I didn’t even mount this it’s wonderful the color is perfect the apps are easy to access it’s really fun to use and admittedly I bought it on Amazon prime day I got a great price and I have no regrets at all I highly recommend Vizio I had a smaller one and this one is just much better – in two years after I get out of my cable contract I will just be streaming with only this tv (gave hoojed yo Apple TV and google play ... lots of USB ports fit all your devices? If I could love a TV I would tell you that I was in love with this TV.

If I play with the picture size, I get green lines across the screen that will not go away unless I power the tv off and turn it back on. I don't play with that option anymore. Shouldn't have taken the risk on a refurb just to save fifty bucks. I didn't notice the problem until I discarded the box and had it mounted on the wall. Too big of a pain to ship back. Lesson learned I guess.

since it was a refurbished product it still has a problem with the tuner. But the picture is great. haven't used the smart tv yet.
