The catalog of supported games might not be growing -- but it is definitely big enough to be worthwhile and enjoyable...
The Move catalog may be [at this point] not growing anymore...and overall [sadly] a bit on the sparse side -- there is still a lot of fun to be had with the Move controller. Firstly, let me just say that the Move itself works fine. In shooting games (my main attraction to them) it does seem to lose calibration and 'drift' over time...but it's an overall minor annoyance; it does break the illusion, but doesn't kill the fun. I am using mine with a projector screen...so I am not sure if that environment / setup would affect it at all. The catalog of game to really checkout, at least in my opinion / findings...is as follows: Firstly...before even the "numbers" -- if you want to play shooting games...get the Sharp Shooter gun attachment. I'm not sure how many games "fully" utilize it, but it does work great for a number of games I'll name below. Also, the Navigation Controller did enhance the experience significantly in certain games as well. 1) Heavy Rain. I'm actually really sad that Beyond: Two Souls didn't support the Move...as Heavy Rain was a wonderfully natural fit for what it asked you to do. Likely the best Move integration in a game I've had. I actually didn't even try "Beyond: Two Souls" since I felt it was such an oversight to not have it. 2) Dead Space: Extraction. This was a great unexpected surprise for me. It's still an "on the rails" shooter...but it actually has a decent story -- and playing with a friend is an absolute blast. My friend and I were completely surprised, and I am excited to play through it again soon. 3) House of the Dead OVERKILL. It's cheesy, campy...and plenty crude. But it's also a whole lot of fun. Grab a friend, and you'll be laughing away. This is likely the one that friends and I first reach for, as it's just straight-through fun...even if it isn't the most engaging of story lines -- you play it for the shooting. ;) 4) Child of Eden. I can't say that I've finished this game, or jumped into it every spare chance I get...but it's quite an audio-visual experience. If you have a nice sound system and a decent TV, turn out the lights and you'll be treated with quite a different experience. 5) The Shoot. Another really fun co-op game. Sadly, you have to finish a stage before it is unlocked as "co-op"...don't know why they did that...but once you have them cleared (hopefully ahead of time), it is really fun to play with friends. I have others that I have bought, but haven't played yet: Killzone 3 (one of the few games that fully utilizes the Sharp Shooter), etc ... but I can say that the investment in the Move is well worth the fun-factor. Especially if you've ever enjoyed arcade shooters...this accessory will be great fun for you.

On the Move
The Motion Controller and the PS Eye are the minimum needed to bring 'Move' to a any PS3 console. No exceptions. If you already have a PS Eye then the controller alone is the only purchase necessary. On the other hand, to fully enjoy certain games, you may want TWO Move Controllers. It's hard not to be impressed by the Move. While I can't see how the Move's Motion Controller can become PS3's 'main' controller, I believe that it's going to find lots of good uses and hopefully in hard-core games and in the RPG games that I'm usually playing. SETUP Press the PS button. If the controller is charged... you're done. Of course, to do anything useful, you WILL need a PS Eye camera and maybe a game :). You CAN use the controller to navigate the PS3 XMB menus but it may take some getting used to - I am still reaching for the DualShock. MOVE'S MOTION CONTROLLER The Wikipedia has a very thorough review of the technology inside the controller - impressive. It's probably worth going there to get an idea of what's under the hood. From a user's point of view, the Move could be viewed as approximately the right side of the DualShock 3 where the motion tracking function is the R3 analog stick, R1 is the MOVE button and the R2 becomes the Move's T(rigger). You also get the 4 Square/Circle/X/Triangle, in a square (not 'diamond') formation, the PS button as well as the START and SELECT. So far, the most used buttons during gameplay were the MOVE and the T(rigger). In addition, you get a wrist strap. At the opposite end of the microphone or thick wand-shaped Move there's a USB Mini-B port for charging and another port that seems to be proprietary - must investigate. The controller is quite substantial as far as both size and weight - I like that and liked its being shaped in a way that makes it easy to grab and hold. Very much like a microphone or a very thick magic wand; NOT a remote control. Based on my experience so far, Move's ability to track your motions far surpasses anything that I'm aware of in the gaming universe. Every single movement, up/down, left/right, toward/away and wrist rotation are accurately captured and almost instantly reflected on the screen and so is acceleration that would usually translates as 'force' in games such as sword fights or ping pong. In addition, there is haptic (tactile/rumble) feedback, a little too weak in the games I played so far, making the gaming experience that much more realistic. I am not writing a lot about the Eye camera because... it's just there and it's not the subject of this review. For as long as it can see you, it simply does its part so that you may enjoy your game. PLAYING I've tried so far everything in the Champions game and one puzzle game demo downloaded from the PSN. Our little girl is playing the Eye Pet demo and my boys are playing mostly the sword fight and the archery games in Sports Champions. Considering that Sports Champions is an early game, my expectations were not that high but, surprisingly, Ping Pong did meet my expectations. I've been playing real Ping Pong ever since I was 11 or 12 so I probably know what I'm talking about and the Move version of Ping Pong is GOOD. As for the others... sword fight, kids like it. Archery was okay, Bocce was so-so, Frisbee Golf not too bad. Three of the six Champions events benefit significantly from using TWO Motion controllers. For the games I've played so far, this is NOT a couch experience. On the Sports events I was sweating after a few minutes and I had to get off the couch and stand up even when playing the puzzle because of its depth element. This is probably a good thing. I am sorry for having to do this but, absent 'hard core' games, the only comparison I can make is between Move and Wii and... to put it VERY mildly, the Wii shows its age when placed next to the Move. Except for it lacking a built-in speaker, the Move controller is ahead of Wii in every single respect: precision, responsiveness, ergonomics. The fact that the Eye camera can and in certain games DOES track your body not just the controller helps too. Of course, the Wii has the games but the Move games should be coming fast so I'm not worried. MY RATING It's 5 stars for the technical merit, ease of setup and for the overall experience. Hopefully, the games will be coming quickly and in good quality.

the ps move
there was a fuzz about motion gaming on the WII, the 360 and the PS. Well, since PS2, we had motion gaming, remember? The Eye Toy? Well, I wouldn't have buy a Playstation Eye if I wasn't courios about motion gaming. Well, certainly Move Controller does the next step on motion gaming. It's not about comparing it to the WII, because it's intended for less picky crowds (don't take it personal, I'm just talking about the technology involved and the "horse power" of both consoles). Anyway, it's no secret the WII came out with an outstanding tech for fun games. But it's not as advanced as the Eye Toy was, and is less advanced than de PS Eye and the Move Controller together, not to mention the HD factor. So, let's not compare and think about them as different experiences of motion gaming. Now. What I'm pissed about is that Microsoft did it again. Take something already existing, took a long time to develop it and then announced as if it was the breakthrough of the century. I'm sorry, but "to be the controller" of the game has proven to be fun for simple "party games". Kinnect should've came out with a controller, for tracking and controlling certain things. This way it's just marketing and MS fanboys making more noise than is required. Back to the Move Controller. WOW! It's MUCH better than I expected. I think it's the logical step to what the PS Eye was already doing. And quite a good, firm and ADVANCED step it is. It's not about lag times. I mean, it barely has an imperceptible lag. But the direction of the hand, the angles, every bit of movement your hand does. IT'S AMAZING! I've played the Sports Champions, and have no complaint. I've played the demos on PSN for The Shoot, Tumble, EyePet and others. I wanna say that it's SO fun to play like this. I've played the PS Eye only games and they're fun, but not so accurate. This is astoundingly accurate. I don't care which accesory sales more or who is the "winner". I believe Sony's Playstation wing is always one step ahead. For a quick prove, how many XBOX 360s have you had since it's out? In that time, while you had 2 or 3 360s I've only have had 1 PS3. And it's ready for 3D gaming and works ALSO with the Move. I can barely imagine how cool that's gonna be! A 3D game in which I can get the depth of the world (of the game) and at the same time move my hand, point and shoot and move through it as if I were inside!! AWSOME. 5 stars! No doubt.

Works great, fast response. Younger kids may have a problem.
We bought three of these motion controllers to go with the starter bundle pack which already came with one controller. The response is great and appears to feel like it's "real time." Even games in which you can rotate your wrist when throwing a ball (to simulate a spinning motion) are accurately picked up. The controller's buttons are well placed and even our six-year old son has no problems with gripping the controller and pressing the buttons with his thumb or forefinger. With games that require the pairing of two devices, there is no issue with them working together and responding as you would expect. We did have a problem with our three-year old trying to calibrate the system to himself. At first we thought we may have a bad controller, but after I was able to calibrate the controller to myself, we figured our son was just too short for the system to recognize him and for it to work properly. For that reason only I didn't give it a full five stars. For now, he simply uses Daddy's controller so he feels like he's a part of the fun too. When you're in between games, the motion controller will also navigate the PS3's main menu. I don't understand why Sony makes a navigation controller to do this task. Buying a navigation controller seems to be a waste of money; at least to me. I would suggest not purchasing one. I haven't played any other motion games (i.e., Wii), so I can't make an intelligent comparison among the PS3 and other gaming devices. It's my opinion that the PS3 motion controller has excellent response with the games we've played so far. To date, we have only played the Sports Champions game that came with the starter bundle. Given the family fun we've had so far, we'll will certainly be looking for other games to enjoy as well.

MOVE controllers work surprisingly well
My thoughts in short: The MOVE is like the WII but better in every way, technically speaking. It's more acurate, more precise, better graphics. The Wii still has a better catalog of games obviously. The controller is awesome. It fits well in the hand. What stinks is you can't navigate your PS3 with a MOVE controller alone. You either need a regular PS3 controller or a navigation controller to select things and move about your XMB. The nice thing about the navigation controller (which is a different controller all together and is not included with the move bundle unfortunately) is that it doesn't attach to the Move controller via wires or anything. You simply plug it in and pair it with your PS3 like you would any controller, charge it up, and both controllers work wirelessly together. The controls for Sports Champions are very fun and work exactly how you think it would. It's not like the Wii where you make basic cutting, whacking, and slashing movements. The MOVE controllers are viewed in 3D and when you move your controller around, the EyeToy camera picks this up. It's hard to put into ords, but if you try it you'll see what I mean. There's just more room for movement and creativity with the Move controller. I've played some MAG, which is a first person shooter, and after taking some getting used to, the MOVE controls are actually pretty fun and very quick. Also, shooting games like The Shoot! and Time Crisis: Razing Storm are very fun for the Move controllers, especially if you get some kind of gun attachment for the Move Controller. Youc an play Sports Champions right out of the box with one controller, and there's demos downloadable from PSN that you can play with one controller. I would strongly reccomend buying a second MOVE controller if you only have one or you just ordered a MOVE bundle, because games like Sports Champions are way more fun with a second controller and The Fight: Lights Out basically requires it.

Best motion controller on the market.
Ok. I already have a PlayStation Eye, so I only bought Move and pretended to play it with Heavy Rain (when the path releases), Flower, Pain and Hight Velocity Bowling. The only game currently of that list that I tried is HV Bowling and some demos, which are Spots Champions, EyePet and Tumble (which I ended up buying). This were my experiences: XMB: First of all, you can navigate through the XMB with Move, just hold the trigger(T) button and move the controller UP, DOWN and SIDEWAYS. I found the navigation to be much faster than the DualShock in every aspect, even when navigating in the PS Store. HV Bowling: Is much intuitive, comfortable and newbie friendly than with the DualShock's SixAxis Montion System, but its has its cons, (1) is much difficult to make curve balls and (2) move controller doesn't shine in this game, remember this is almost a launch title, so don't expect too much. PROS ---- + The sphere turns multiple into colors when you do a strike, this give a sense of achievement that the SixAxis didn't have. + Much more intuitive. + Much more comfortable. + Much more user friendly for new comers. CONS ---- - Much more difficult to do curve shots. - Motion technology doesn't shine with this game. - Aiming system is harder than with the dualshock Overall: 7/10 EyePet's Demo: You are only able to test the move when you shower your pet and when you draw an airplane. This game is a move required one, but it seems it only uses Move's technology like 50% of the gameplay's time. The only part were the controller shines is when showering the pet, the tracking is 1:1, you can twist the controller in every direction and the game will recognized the movements and show it to you in real time. The drawing was slow paced and the crayons were to big to draw a detail airplane (I guess this is because its focused for a younger audience). PROS ---- + Some of the move's options are cool. CONS ---- - Some of the move's options are slowpaced (like for kids) Overall: 6/10 Tumble full game: The experience is great, can't imagine in 3D (pure awesomeness), this game is designed for the move controller, although the speed in the menus is slow and it doesn't work as a true pointer, the experience in game is great. PROS ---- + Ingame motion true 1:1 + Great user of move's technology CONS ---- - Speed in menus is slow for non reason - Menus pointer is not intuitive (I guess it kinda works like the gameplay pointer which doesn't makes sense since you can't see a controller in the menus) Overall:8.5/10 Sport Champions: WOW.... AMAZED. This is were the move's technology really shines, great move lunch title, true 1:1 tracking with the a real speed feedback and pointer. Its simple, both minigames on the demo (table tennis and golf disc) were 100% accurate to the movements I made with the controller. (OffTopic, I found Disc Golf entertaining, unexpected, I have been re thinking on getting this games thanks to the demo, wow, I didn't had a good experience with Wii Sports (which aren't accurate, just fun and balanced, but not accurate), because of Wii Sports I initially didn't have plans on getting this game, but this is NOT WII SPORTS, this is PS3 SPORTS (much more hardcore, unbalanced between casual and hardcore gamers, and off course, much more precise)). PROS ---- + 1:1 True motion tracking + Best experience with move yet on the market + Move shines with this game + True pointer tracking, NO DELAY + Overall NO DELAY. CONS ---- None Overall:10/10 +++++++++++++++++++++++++ CONCLUSION What a piece of hardware, we ps3 owners, are lucky to own, is really surprising the precision move's technology has; it's clear that the response time will depend on the software, Move's is capable of 1:1 motion tracking, the speed and delay will depend on how developers program their games, this is very clear. PROS ---- + Comfortable controller (not as the wiimote, which with the condom is much more comforter) + Coloring Sphere feedback + MOTION TECHNOLOGY CONS ---- None - Sony for not packaging a bundle of a Move's controller with sports champions (Got dam... they didn't thought in the current clients that already own a PS Eye). OVERALL 10/10 OVERALL

A Wii bit better than Nintendo
The Playstation Move was a product that I was excited about as soon as I heard it was coming out. I know some people might think that this is just a rip-off of a Nintendo Wii controller, but that would really be selling this controller short. It has the added feature of being tracked by the Playstation Eye camera in addition to having built in accelerometers. This means that when you tilt your hand or orient the controller in a certain way, that it will be mirrored on the screen and in turn affect your gameplay. The controller feels very solid, and it is powered by a rechargable battery just like the standard PS3 controllers. I plug mine into the PS3 when I'm not using them so when the PS3 is on, they charge in 3-5 hours and are back to full. I would probably recommend getting a standalone Move controller dock that will plug into the wall and keep the controllers charged at all times if you don't use them frequently. The setup is very easy, just a few clicks of the PS Move button near your shoulder and torso is about all it takes to sync. It is also kind of cool how the orb on the top of the controller changes depending on the game and the player (when playing multiplayer). The only thing I did find a bit annoying is that sometimes it is difficult to use this controller to navigate the PS3 main menu and then some of the game menus outside of basic PS Move play. Other than that, this product is very good, and really does work as well as advertised.

surprisingly good
This is the second one im buying (bought my 1st one locally) I must say that i cant believe that this thing actually works!!! I dont understand how people go crazy for the wii one. I played with the wii and it was above average and it put me off these kinds of controllers. However they were selling a promo pack with the sharp shooter and KZ3 so i thought id buy it. I'm finicky with my controllers so it took me about 5 mins to connect the camera and set up and reassign them. At first i found it to sensitive but after about 5 mins i absolutely loved it :). And this was even before i put in a game. I was just messing with the xmb menu. If youre complete centre, with a 180 degree motion left or right you can go right accross the xmb menu. Its really like Harry potters wand lol. This thing is really good and it also feels very expensive. Im glad for Sony. I hope they can actually penetrate the market with this. Playing KZ3 with this took some getting used to , but it was simply amazing. You engage your whole body with this thing so i have to recommend that you stand while using it. My hands got tired after 12 minutes or so of kz3 but i suppose thats how i would feel in real life. Its really good. Like a 99% accuracy wrt tracking. Im still awaiting the sports game but i played the tennis game by my friends and i must say it felt absolutely like the real thing. I was actually shocked. It also got me out of breath within a minute. I highly recommend this. Its very much better than the wii. Its completely different to how it feels.
