Very good, so far
This item was purchased to charge 2 x 6v lead-acid batteries in series (12v), mainly because of its diminutive size, and also because it is a low output charger that is in-line, rather than being plugged directly into a socket, which many of the small types are these days.It works well and has a nice bright graduated charging scale.I would recommend this if you need a low charge rate (<1.5A) and small size charger for a reasonable price.

Good value
Bought this to replace an Oxford Oximiser that gave up the ghost after 10 years of service. This one is half the price but is every bit as good. It comes with crocodile clips and pigtail lead if you want to leave a connection on a motorcycle for example, which is very handy. No frills, just plug in and watch it charge. The display gives the charge in 25% increments. If I'm being picky, the connections are quite tight but they may lose a bit with use and a bit of wd40. I don't know what other people meant about the noise, mine is absolutely silent. It is quite small and light and of course plastic, but if looked after I don't see why this shouldn't last a long time

Retains12v setting after power loss if hooked up to the battery
Used the charger to top up car battery and it did the job with no issues. Reading the reviews I agree that the charger fan is a bit noisy if placed on a hard surface. I was concerned when buying this as some reviews stated that if you have a power cut, the charger defaults to 6v when power is restored and may damage the battery. To be safe I used a RCD power plug which requires to be reset after any power outage. However, I found that the 12v setting is retained by using power from the battery during any power outage, and then continues to charge at 12v when power is restored. Basic testing showed the charger needs approx. 5v from the battery to retain the 12v setting. Overall, seems to be a half decent charger for a good price.

Handy little charger
Good little charger, once charged it keeps the batteries floating at 13.4v - 13.5v, I use it to keep 2x 90ah batteries charged (linked together) as these are my "jump packs". My main 10ah charger would keep slamming the batteries at between 14.8v to 15.2v so a bit much to keep plugged in all the time, whereas this little charger is not going to boil the batteries.

Charger not working
Purchased to use with several motorcycle batteries, along with some compatible connectors. When I came to use the charger it showed the batteries as 'full' even when I knew that they were not.Its obviously not fit for purpose and needs to be replacedWaiting for a response from the supplier.
