The numbers are easy to read. It picks up the temperature of the soil quickly and efficiently. Solid construction in simple to use. Well worth the price.

Great thermometer for checking soil temp!
We bought this to check the soil temp in our yard prior to seeding the lawn in the Spring. It is sturdy, accurate and easy to use. It stores away easily in the box it came in and is ready for any soil temp need you have. Also can be used to check temps on compost. Great product!

Used in a raised bed garden
This is my first year using a soil thermometer. Knowing the temperature of the soil guided me to delay planting until a warmer time. Easy to read and fast to register temperature. Would recommend for any gardener.

Put the thermometer in and after a day the screen fogged up and will not clear.

Broke first time when I inserted it into the soil, when I pulled it up the probe dislocated - too bad I didn't try it while I could return it so now I'm stuck with a broken expensive trinket. It looked like it's working fine, but why so flimsy :(
