Pea Protein that actually tastes good
I am no longer able to drink whey protein powder as it does not agree with me. I have tried several different brands of Pea Protein and I find the taste to be absolutely disgusting! I was about to give up on Pea Protein but I thought I would give one last try. Wow! I can’t believe how impressed I am by this NOW Brand vanilla Pea Protein. It doesn’t taste quite as good as whey protein vanilla, but it’s pretty darn close. I actually really like the taste. I frequently mix one scoop with half a banana and a small handful of berries. I have also started to use this mix to make homemade popsicles and I eat them when I am craving ice cream. This is a great product. I suggest you try it out!

I Gotta Pea!
Me to my 16 year old athlete son, "here, try this it's pretty good."Him: What is it?Me: It's pea proteinHim: WHAT??!!!Me: it's pea protein. Try it!Him: Dad are you crazy?!! I'm not drinking ANYTHING made with pea! That's gross!! I'm not drinking that crap!Me (and I just had to say it): It's NOT crap, it's PEA!!As a user and experimenter of many different types of protein powders, I have to say, this one is unique. Like the other reviewer mentioned, this is indeed a lot like flour consistency out of the jug. It will get all over your hands and counter top just trying to get the scooper out. But that's where the negatives stop. The taste is very good, and it mixes well. Read the product description. It has everything you want in a good protein powder including non GMO ingredients and no milk and no soy.Mix this with a few packs of instant fat free/sugar free vanilla pudding and a cup or so of almond milk. Throw in some dark chocolate morsels and you have got one HECK of a healthy snack that tastes just like cookie dough.A few caveats:1) higher in sodium than usual protein powders2) take this fwiw, but just came across a research article that stated that extra protein is very healthy up to about age 40. People between 40-60 should avoid too much extra protein and those over 60 should increase protein consumption. Don't have a link so research on own.3) it contains a bit of xylitol so if your stomach is sensitive to that additive, be careful. It's not that much, but could irritate sensitive people. The good news is that pea protein is most likely way healthier than whey (cow) and DEFINITELY healthier than soyBy the way, my son drank it and actually loved it!

Great product
I have been plant based for a few years now, and this is one of the best pea protein powders. Great taste and quality. Good for smoothies. Doesn’t foam up like whey protein. My only complaint is that the powder is super dusty and can make a mess when you are getting it out of the container.

Very good shakes for the GI track!
I've been using this powder as meal replacements to give my digestive system a rest for 2 weeks. If you're having digestive issues google "elemental shakes"; that's what I've been trying to simulate with this protein powder. (I have SIBO, but it's also effective for IBS and various IBDs like Crohns, etc.) So far, the results have been great! My GI track is on the up and up (still not 100% healed, but much better than when I started) and using the shakes has been far easier than I expected.I decided to use pea protein as my base/ protein source because it's not dairy and it's easily digestible. For use as an elemental shake to give the small and large intestines a break, pea protein absorbs easily into the body without having to travel much of the length of the small intestine. Not to mention, it's got a ton of amino acids that aid in a host of other GI and neurological symptoms. NOW's powder has a very short list of ingredients (horray!), is very low in sugar without using aspartame (they use xylitol- a naturally occurring sugar alcohol- and stevia), and the pea protein isolate is non-GMO.To make a (mostly) elemental shake, I use:As a base: unsweetened, unflavored almond milk (not technically elemental, but oh well)For protein: NOW pea protein protein powderFor carbs: 1 tbs of honeyFor fat: 1 tbs extra virgin coconut oil (melted for easier blending)For sodium: A pinch of sea saltFor added vitamins and minerals: "Amazing Grass" Barley, wheat, and alfalfa powder (also not technically elemental)Add all ingredients to a blender, mix, and enjoy! The coconut oil makes the shake a bit thicker, somewhere between liquid and pudding.I have 4 of these shakes per day, totaling just over 1600 calories. I miss solid food at the moment, but the benefits to my tummy are way worth it.The only reason I've docked 1 star is because I also ordered NOW's DUTCH CHOCOLATE pea protein and it is WAY tastier than this flavor.

So so so nasty
Truly the worst protein powder I’ve ever tried. It’s so grainy and artificial tasting. It also leaves this lasting bitter taste in your mouth?? The scoop thing is awful too lol. But the flavor is so bad and so strong. I tried really hard to mask it in smoothies and such because I really try to use the things I buy until they’re gone even if I don’t like them, but it was this protein powder is unmaskable. Like you still have this really grainy texture and it has this lasting taste that really makes it awful to consume. I would not recommend this product at all.

Agree with digestive ease, taste and blending are horrible
Bottom line - Smells delicious, tastes nothing like it smells...I blend it with banana or almond/coconut milk, have to chug it to get past it. Powder is very fine and will cloud up when putting a liquid on it, mixes poorly and turns into a foam in my blender. Will not buy again.

Tastes great!
This pea protein is great for my husband who is lactose intolerant and cannot use whey. It tastes great! It dissolves easily and does not have a powdery feel/taste. We use it in our breakfast smoothies and as a pre or post workout supplement.
