Works great, plastic punctures easily
This bag works quite well, as long as you have the right vacuum for it! I have purchased and used this exact product twice so far, because I end up puncturing it every time I use it (more on this later). The first time I used it, I tried using my regular household vacuum cleaner (Miele canister vac). It worked a little bit, but the vacuum quickly overheated and shut off. Most household vacuums aren't meant to operate at maximum suction without a lot of air flowing through them (because they rely on the incoming air to cool the motor). The second time I used this bag, I used a large shop-vac (Rigid brand vacuum). This worked a LOT better and didn't suffer any overheating issues. If you want an even better vacuum, I have some more info later on. For most people, using a standard shop-vac will do the job nicely. Once you have pulled the vacuum, fold the mattress over and strap it up. Having a second person to help here is very useful -- one person sitting on the mattress to keep it folded while another person straps it worked very well. I used the included straps to hold it in half, then used some ratcheting straps to tighten it up even further. Note that if you use ratchet straps, put a piece of cardboard or something like that between the metal ratchet body and the plastic bag to keep from puncturing the plastic. The attached image is of a Purple 3 mattress under full compression. I think the compression is just as good as the factory does, but I didn't have enough leverage to actually "roll" up the mattress and could only fold it in half. Its still plenty small enough to fit in the back of a normal station wagon/hatch/SUV. Once your mattress is vacuumed and folded, you really should add some extra protection. You can wrap the mattress in mover's plastic wrap, or find some other heavy duty plastic/tarp to wrap this in. The vacuum bag punctures VERY easily. This happened BOTH times I tried moving with this. It's not the end of the world, as long as your straps are tight -- the straps will keep the mattress MOSTLY contained even if the vacuum is lost, but it will be a LOT more difficult to move around without the vacuum intact. Note that I punctured this even though I was trying to be very careful. I was moving my mattress with a helper down a short walkway between my door and the car. The mattress was very heavy, so we stopped once to put the mattress down and take a quick break. The bag touched a grain of sand on my walkway (yes, just a grain of sand), and this caused a minute puncture. It was enough that I could hear it leaking, but I couldn't stop the leak with duct tape or anything like that because of all the creases in the plastic. Within 2 hrs, the mattress bag vacuum was completely lost. So if you want the ultimate vacuum, I had good results using a four-stage diaphragm pump with a shop-vac as a roughing vacuum. Most people won't have access to this equipment, and probably won't need this level of vacuum to be honest. My shop-vac took the vacuum down to about 650 torr. I was able to attach a diaphragm pump using an NW25 fitting. If you remove and use just the O ring from an NW25 centering ring, it will fit over the inlet port nicely and creates a good seal once a vacuum is established (see photo for more info). I took it down to 40 torr and said "good enough" there. The majority of the compression had already happened with the shop-vac -- the difference between 650 and 40 torr was noticeable, but not enormous.

Very satisfied as of day one
I ordered the Twin/Twin XL size for a twin mattress. Other reviews mention that the vacuum bag is very thin. I disagree. It is not incredibly thick plastic, but it also did not feel thinner than I'd expect. That said, for anything you're looking to vacuum seal you need to be very careful of tears and holes. I did not find any defects out of the box. The product comes with two instruction sheets. One is for how to use the product. The other for troubleshooting and resolving issues. The directions were straightforward and clear. And where it recommended running the sealing clips across the zipper four times, I made sure to follow the recommendation. I have a small 4hp shop vacuum I used for sealing. My wife and I helped press (and later sit) on the mattress to help speed compression, but even without that extra help I still saw the package shrinking. The included directions state that the process should take fifteen minutes. This was accurate for my case. The directions also state that if the shrinking is taking longer to stop at about that time to rest the vacuum so the motor does not overheat. The mattress shrunk very well, ans my wife and I rolled it up with some effort. We used the included straps to hold it together. While not shown in my picture, the directions suggest that for travel or very rough storage to wrap it in packaging tape. I'm very satisfied with how things are looking immediately after wrapping. I will need to wait and see if it keeps, and will update this review if there are any issues. The cautious part of me feels I should add some additional support to prevent expansion, but we'll see. But directions were easy to follow and it worked as described. I'm rating this five stars but will update if there are any issues.

Good product, does what it's suppose to do
Worked for a california king lucid hybrid mattress with some springs inside. Compressed from 10in to 2.5_3 inches. Was able to roll up and strap into a cylinder for easier storage. Vacuum port could be sturdier wants to suck up the plastic into the port. Otherwise perfect product. Took about 5 mins to vacuum seal. 10 mins to put bag on.

Worked 1/2 Way
I’m giving this three stars because it half way worked. I bought this to store a king mattress and also for the ease of transporting it. First off you definitely need a much more powerful vacuum like a shop vac. A regular vacuum will take a very long time. The shop vac did great. The air opening could use some improvements, because when the compression and air extraction is about 1/2 way, it folds inwards making it difficult to extract the air. For a mattress this size you definitely need at least two people. The bag compressed very nicely and the mattress was able to roll. The straps were a little challenging, but they worked. The bag material is very thin and rips very easily. Within 20 minutes I had to put the mattress on a dolly to transport it into my vehicle. Somewhere in transition, a small hole or rip occurred somewhere because we could hear air escaping, and the bag started to lose compression. Within a couple of days the mattress was no longer compressed. I have used another brand and it worked wonders. I purchased this one because I needed it as quickly as possible and I was promised next morning delivery. However, it got here later in the afternoon, but that is beyond anyone’s control. If the material was a bit thicker, and the a stronger ring/lip around the air opening, I think it would be a great product.

Perfect for quick transport. Caution ⚠️ dont exceed 72hrs
Not thick but works well and did its purpose. It did the job. I used it to transport a memory gel queen mattress from FL to MA in a SEDAN! Yes a Mercedes C300. I squeezed the mattress on a Wednesday afternoon and initially i used a little electric pump i had but it wasn't enough so had to use a powerful vacuum like commercial grade you can get those at home depot (rent) and the suction was so much better.. it was easy to pack, role and secure with the straps. The whole process was easy. Important Note: packed on a Wednesday, and by Saturday it was evident it was starting to expand. By Sunday the straps felt very tight evidence that expansion was taking place. I would caution ⚠️ not to exceed 72hrs.

Strong & Simple Product! 🌟🌟
Could not believe how easy it was to roll a king size mattress. I use the regular vacuum to remove the air. This is a definite Keeper and I don’t think I would move without it.. high-quality plastic and Strong. The size accommodated king size mattress without a problem. Definite space saving and made it easy to carry..

Money saver
A life saver! I need to move my foam mattress and moving company gave quote that was more expensive than the actual mattress cost so I decided to this bag a try. Took me 3 sessions with the vacuum cleaner ( I was worried not to kill the vacuum cleaner) but it worked! With every fold I was putting something heavy on the top to make the mattress stay rolled. I also ordered heavy duty straps separately in order to hold it tight during transportations. The only concern is the depth of the bag. My mattress was king size 14” thickness and it was a bit challenging to zip it, definitely need 2 people to do it. If the bag would be deeper, would be perfect and much easier! Otherwise it saved me a lot of money and it fit in a regular car perfectly.

Please read and consider before purchasing
Hello. I have a Purple Hybrid Premier 4 mattress. If you have any of the Purple beds and have had to move it for any reason then you know how terrible it is to move. The bed is like trying to move a water bed. No structure to it at all. So I was super excited for this to come and great news.. it works WELL. Super well actually! We have a shop vacuum at home that we used to suck the air out. I don’t know how well it will work without a shop vacuum. But it made transporting this bed soooo much easier. The bed is still just ans heavy this way but it has structure. And became half the size. It was anmazing! Until we got it outside. Once the cover touched the ground outside it popped in so many places. This thing is NOT DURABLE. It came with straps to try to roll the bed up with but they are super cheap and not worth the time atleast not for a purple bed. I suggest ratchet straps instead however be careful with the Metal on those because again this thing is not durable and holes happen super easily. But if you take that into consideration and just make absolutely sure that this thing never touches a rough surface then it will work amazingly! It seriously made my purple bed half the size it was crazy. I would definitely recommend this and it’s a pretty fair price. Just take it into consideration the lack of durability
