The light strip works great to really help light up the sewing area on my machine. It is less expensive than one I purchased from another company. You receive two strips in the package for less than $13 where the other one was about $20 for one. The main difference between the two is the control. Both have on, off, and dimmer on them but this one has a very sensitive touch control. You barely touch it. That has it's good and bad points. It was easy to install. My biggest issue with both of the strip brands is that where you can completely remove the electrical cords from a sewing machine for storage, the light strips have cords you have to do something with because they are adhered to the machine and the cord is attached. Having the extra light makes that small issue worth it though. If the manufacturing companies want to work on that issue I wouldn't complain though.

I bought these to use on my Juki sewing machine. Now I don't need to cart along an extra light when I go on sewing retreats. These lights are very bright and make a HUGE difference in being able to see while sewing. I only used one strand and didn't need to trim it off. I like that I could attach them to do around back of my machine out of the way. They are quite touchy and turn off and on easily, so having the switch on back works great not to accidentally touch it while sewing. I recommend these to anyone needing more light for sewing. They are a game changer. The only improvement I would suggest is to be able to disconnect them from the power cord to have a shorter cord to store on my machine. I rarely write reviews. These lights are a game changer though. I sew a LOT and my eyes aren't getting any younger. I'm not sure how I got by before with just the sewing machine's single bulb. I just received the clips but no adhesive. I opted to use 3M Christmas light clips instead because they can easily be removed or repositioned. The lights are very bright, and quite flexible. I'm not really into the USB plugs but many products come that way now. I wish the cords were a tiny bit longer but that's a minor thing. The on/off switch requires a light touch. Occasionally I'll brush against it and it will turn itself off. Again, a minor thing. Great product, good price, and I can actually see what I'm doing now. Wish I'd bought them sooner.

I like the amount of light the strip provides on my home sewing machine. I don’t like that there were no instructions for if strip could be shortened. Also had difficulty in positioning light so did not shine directly in my eyes.

Four and a half stars from me actually. These lights are superb quality and easy to fix; also excellent value for money. The light is warm white and not at all LED-ish. Easy to fix under units with their self-adhesive backing, plenty of joint components supplied so you can vary the length and configure your own set-up, even double-back for extra light. Only one slight quibble - the switch is wired in to the cable quite near the plug-in transformer, and I wanted the switch under the cabinet itself away from the plug. It would be fairly simple to re-wire this arrangement, but I should point out that this may invalidate your warranty and be unsafe unless done by a

I needed more light in the sewing area of my sewing machine, so I picked these. They are perfect, I used part of a string underneath the arm of my sewing machine. This does not shine light in my eyes, but it puts a light directly on the needle and sewing area. I couldn't recommend these more highly.

These aren't as user friendly as I had hoped. One went on my domestic machine. They wrap around the throat and still cause shadows. The cord is a pain to keep out of the way, but doable.My second of these is on my longarm machine. It's definitely not bright enough. The light switches on/off on its own accord.Update: The second set on/off switch is always ON. But they both are still working without issue.

I love these lights and the ease of turning them on and off. However, when I took my machine in to be repaired, they kept the machine and gave me a new one due to factory issue. The could not get the adhesive clips off and now I cannot find any small ones like the ones that came with it. Any suggestions on where I might get more of the same size. So far all the ones I have found are too big.
