American Health Ester-Vitamin C with Citrus Bioflavonoids 500 Milligrams 240 Capsules

These are a nice way to take a daily Vutamin C. It's Ester c and it won't upset your stomach or give you the runs which sometimes happens with other formulas.

Excellent product

I take 1000 mg (1 gram) of this product twice per day. How much you may need may vary according to your weight and other factors. I am a male who weighs 185 pounds. The 500mg capsules are the best value. I do not recommend the caplets/tablets, as I have not had as good of results with them. I began taking Ester-C after reading articles about how it was used to help improve the lives of large breed dogs that had hip dysplasia problems. At the time I was suffering from a lot of lower back pain, and I did not want to take typical OTC pain relievers. I found that it takes 2-3 weeks for this product to begin to alleviate pain. For me, it truly has reduced pain! I have also learned from my experience, that if you discontinue the use of the Ester-C, the pain returns in about 2-3 weeks. So, it apparently has some residual qualities. If you take too much it will cause the runs, so be forewarned! While I primarily take Ester-C for back pain, it does also help with hip and other joint pains. My primary, go to, supplement for arthritic joint pains is Boswellia Extract (I use Nature's Answer brand). Taking the Ester-C and the Boswellia Extact in combination leaves me feeling as nimble as someone much younger than my 55 years old. I am hoping to avoid the pain and mobility issues that are now crippling my aging father. So, I will continue to take and recommend these products. I believe that Ester-C has many other health benefits, but the pain relief is the most noteworthy one IMHO. I have experience zero negatives, other than it can cause the runs (as mentioned previously). I recommended it to my sister, and it has helped reduce her joint pains too.

American Health 500 mg with Citrus Bioflavonoids Capsules is the best vitamin C I have used. After dozens of other brands/types, I found one that is gentle on my stomach and does what I need it to do. I cannot provide any official medical evidence that it prevents colds and other illnesses, but for me it works. I take two 500mg Caps at bedtime and an extra one during the day if I feel a sniffle. It does the job. I recommend it.

Not all Ester-C is the same, unfortunately. They vary as to style of pill, size of pill, amount of citrus flavonoids, and this can be confusing to buyers seeking specifics in these product subcategories. After careful review of all the Ester-C products on Amazon.....I ordered this product, a two-pack of 120 capsules per bottle, 500mg per capsule. Excellent product here. Esther-C supplements have become a bit if a troubling thing to chase after in recent years. They are hard to find locally in this city of 1 million where I live, and when I do find them, they are invariably large tablets and over priced. This particular product is different, and in a good way: 1) Great price - 240 500 mg doses for just under 20 dollars 2) This particular product is CAPSULES, not tablets, making them much easier to swallow 3) This particular product has twice the typical dose of citrus flavonaoids (200mg per 500 mg of Ester C), which are an important part of the Ester-C brand. Others typically have 200mg per 1000mg of Ester-C, or LESS The photos for this product are excellent with one exception to be aware of ---> The labeling makes it look on first glance as a mixup of photos between 500 mg and 1000 mg. This is because this is a two pack (two bottles) shrink packed together, with an outer label recommending 1000mg per day (ie: two capsules). Nothing nefarious at all, just a tiny bit confusing when trying to determine the amount of citrus flavonoids per dose. I don't want to ding the product or the merchant for this, just noting it for others who are trying to read the labels in the photos.

I've been using this product for decades. It wonderful and does not upset the stomach in any way. I couldn't take Vitamin C supplement until I noticed these. Very energizing. My only issue is my last order came unsealed. I'm going to go ahead and use them, but wouldn't recommend it for customers.

Great vitamin during the winter months. Gives yr immune system the boost it needs. It’s tasteless

I like this better than the hard capsules.
