Keep your laptop cool!
My Mac Book Pro was over heating, and the fan was running really loud until I got this product. I leave it plugged in and running all the time on low, and it has keep my computer alive! Its light, adjustable and pretty quiet! The only thing that stinks is the length of the USB cable! So if you need it to reach, buy a longer one or an extension.

Quiet
Bought for my bf who enjoys gaming. It keeps the laptop cool and is multi positionble which is great because he will lay down and then sit up and then go to a table and repeat. Durble no problems 5 months in with use everyday for about 5 hours a day. Quiet and can be used without the fan, keeps it pretty cool not for long but a good amount of time.

Good Enough for Me
This is good for the money if you're not looking for a heavy duty cooling pad. I really got it for it's adjustability more than anything. I've used it several times and it's worked fine.

Solves 2 problems elegantly
I originally bought this as a replacement for another unit from a different brand based solely on the fact that it was the first one I found with a decent rating which did NOT have a light on it. But it's a good little unit. It's very quiet (makes less noise than my laptop, I had to check that it was running multiple times) and I like the fact that it raises the screen up to make screen watching more ergonomic. I was worried that having the screen, and therefore keyboard, raised would make typing difficult but on the lower two settings it does not affect it at all for me. It is so easy to adjust the height that if I'm going to be watching a movie, or a bunch of videos I raise it all the way up, and if I'm going to be doing a lot of typing I lower it so that the keyboard is almost parallel to the desk.Overall- good unit, and would absolutely buy again.

For Lap Use, Good Constellation of Features but Quality Issues
EDIT: It's July (~4 more months) and the stand has broken a second time in the exact same place. There was even a period of time when this computer (and thus the stand) was getting less usage. Sadly I must discourage its use on the lap as this appears to be a recurring issue. I don't think this would be an issue for use on a desk.EDIT: Down to 3 stars for quality issues. The constellation of feature is unchanged, but the stand has broken after ~30 days of use. Unfortunately, the fold-out stand has a cutout for the USB port that seems to weaken this area. I also find that the metal bar that locks into the stand occasionally pops out on one side or the other. I'll update if the warranty unit does better. This is the 4th stand I've purchased so far, using 3 for an extended period of time. Here's what this stand gets right, especially for lap usage:- The stand is molded so the "flat" side is down. This ensures that it doesn't "cut" into the legs when placed on the lap. This is uncommon and ideal for lap use. If you're not using it on the lap, you might prefer the opposite molding for looks.- There is one support tab and it's centered on the stand. This ensures that it doesn't scrape your hands/palms as widely spaced tabs often do.- The tab is reasonably wide. With a single point of support the width is important for stability. I've used stands with smaller "triangle" supports that were less stable. If you're actually typing on the keyboard, this is important.- There are plenty of height options and the last is very high.- The fan is reasonably quiet.I've tried enough of these to give this product 5 stars but here are some potential sources of issue:- The stand is about an inch narrower than my 16-17" laptop. Not a big deal but FYI.- There is one fan. It's adequate to keep my lap cool, but my 14 month old is able to stick his fingers through the gaps in the bottom. This is a negative on its own and, since he doesn't seem to be bothered by touching it, suggests the fan is not that strong.- The USB port and dial is in the center of the back. This is odd as it's not easy to operate and isn't anywhere near a laptop's normal USB ports.

Does a nice job for a reasonable price.
The fan makes a little bit of noise, but it doesn’t seem to cause problems with on Zoom and when not on Zoom I can barely hear it. It takes care of the problem of my laptop overheating.

Defective, Fan Rattles Constantly
The media could not be loaded. I bought this Lamicall cooling pad for $24.99 on Amazon because I wanted an adjustable stand that could raise my laptop camera's height for Zoom and Skype calls, while also providing improved cooling. The laptop stand worked well, but the fan on the unit I received made a noisy, constant rattle like the blade was hitting something inside the housing, so I had to return it as defective. The fan strength was weak and diffuse; I knew the fan was on, but even with the dial turned up to the highest position, I couldn't tell for sure that it was moving air with my hand directly over it. Not impressed enough with the design or build quality to reorder, so now I'm looking for a different product.

Great customer service
Stopped working because of malfunctioning of the included USB cable ( I realized the cause later). Sent a message to customer service online. They promptly and very courteously replaced entire unit within 24 hours. I’m amazed and appreciative. The unit itself is great. Very light weight, quiet but strong fans, and with raised bar at edge to prevent the computer from slipping forward.
