ordered on Oct 4, 2024. cover is falling apart Nov 9, 2025. 1 year life. my old cover lasted over 5 years before being replaced. It is still usable and I will use it to replace this one while I shop for a new cover.

This is my first car cover and it works great! Saves lots of money on car washes and will probably make snow removal a breeze as well. I like that it will fit facing either end. Some covers have special pockets for the mirrors, and I'm glad this one doesn't, because it would take longer to use if you put it on the wrong way. The cover has only blown off once, but it was an extremely windy day, and I was only using two of the three straps. The only real downside is that it's putting a little strain on my tiny antenna on the roof of my car. It might not be easy to use on cars that have non-retractable metal antennas but other than that, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Good for the price you pay and with Amazon, fast delivery. I was in the process of giving one of my daily drivers a much needed paint rehab and polish. I did this in my garage. In order to do this in the garage, one of my "garage queens" had to be moved and sit outside (under it's own cover). Anyway, about half-way through the paint rehab and polish, my polisher had a major breakdown. Parts for it needed to be ordered (outside of Amazon), and as such, I needed to wait to finish. Unfortunately, mother nature also decided that during this wait, she wanted to storm and rain on us. With that said, the "garage queen" had to go back in the garage and this car needed to go back outside. So I needed a cover for the car I was polishing and needed it now. I come here, read the mixed reviews, but it was the only covered listed as "waterproof" that I could get delivered within a few hours. So I made the leap... With that said, the cover has lived up to ALL expectations for the $30 and delivery within a few hours. The material is thin (one of the reasons I gave it a 4 star), but it IS waterproof. Not sure what cover some of the people got and said it's not. We have had torrential downpours and nothing has gotten through. Like another reviewer, I have had pools of water trapped in the cover between the hood/windshield area, meaning, if it wasn't waterproof, there wouldn't be a pool of water there, would there be? I have had ZERO issues with the wind. The three straps/clips have held it down just fine and the elasticized band at the front and back have held. I have seen people complain about it not fitting, not sure about this issue either as it fits with room to spare on a bigger sedan (it is covering a Pontiac G8). The G8 is just under 200" in length, nearly 75" wide. So it is a larger sedan and this cover fits with room to spare. With that said, I don't think this cover will last 10 or 15 years like my top notch cover for the garage queen (some other reasons I am giving it a 4 stars). But then again, this wasn't anywhere near the price of that high quality either. For $30 and quick delivery, it is working fine. And when it fails, I will get another one of these as I only need it for temporary purposes.

I bought this cover in December 2020 and it lasted until August 2021 sitting out in the elements 24/7 for those 8 months. One day it just decided it had had enough and basically ripped in half. I plan to buy another one of these but I decided to read reviews (because that's what I like to do for entertainment) before re-ordering. The biggest complaints I've see is "it's not waterproof" and "for the money I spent blah blah blah". First of all, this is a budget car cover at it's $37 price point and you aren't going to find one that cheap at your local parts store unless it's on sale. The $40+ car covers sold at auto parts stores are not waterproof and will shred apart or blow away with the slightest wind. This car cover at least has 3 straps built-in that will hold it in place so it's definitely not blowing away. Second, I can't attest for the waterproof aspect of it and while I understand that the description says it's waterproof, even if it's not I have to point back to the price again. What did you think you were getting for $37? If your vehicle needs to be protected from the rain that bad, you may want to consider a garage or storage. If that isn't an option then you're looking at spending $100+ for a car cover that's going to stand up to all of the elements for any extended period of time. I've had a 1991 Firebird that I've kept covered outdoors for 5+ years and I've bought probably 4 or 5 different brand car covers in this price range. There's one things consistent amongst them all ..... they're only going to last you about 8-12 months tops. That's just how it goes when you buy a budget car cover. UPDATE: The 2nd one I purchased only lasted 3 months. I went ahead and ordered another because I still stand by what I said in the review above. You get what you pay for and for the price this isn't a bad cover. In fact, it had a 10% discount this time so this 3rd one only cost me $33. I am knocking a star off however to bring it down from 4 to 3 stars because I think only lasting 3 months is pushing the boundaries even for a cheap 30-ish dollar car cover. If this 3rd cover lasts 8-12 months like the first cover did then I'll chalk it up to bad luck on the 2nd cover and move it back to 4 stars but for now it's only 3 stars. UPDATE: The 3rd cover lasted 5 months. A bit longer than the 2nd cover but not as long as the 1st cover. Still a $30-ish car cover, still buying another one, still recommended, but still leaving at 3 stars. Even if I replace this cover twice a year it's far cheaper than paying for a storage unit to put the car in. UPDATE: The 4th cover lasted 4 months. I might start buying these 2 at a time especially when they're on sale. Right now they're only $22 which is actually closer to what I'd like to pay for these regularly. Still can't complain about a $20-$30 car cover that lasts a few months. I couldn't get a storage unit this cheap to store it in. UPDATE: My 5th cover lasted 5 months. At this point, I'm just updating this review for research purposes.

Well made product. Size is perfect for my old Mercedes wagon. I love the straps. They keep the cover in place, even with strong winds. The product holds up well in California excessive heat, pollution, and dryness. It is water resistant also. Well done!

Car cover was a little snug on my Cadillac, but it fit. The price was great! The cover stays put, we recently had high winds here in Texas and I had no problems. Great product, very happy.

I bought this car cover because we have a lot of birds in my area and I wanted to buy a cover that would prevent bird droppings from landing on my car's paint when parked outside. Bird droppings are very acidic and can stain your cars paint if allowed to sit on your car and then bake into the paint on hot sunny days. I really liked the color design (the black on tan matched the color of my house) and I just wanted a basic cover to put over my car inside and outside of my garage. After an entire winter, the cover has held up very well given it's price. My only problem with it is that early morning frost and 20 degree temperatures may cause the cover to stick to the car because it is not 100% waterproof (water can get underneath it, freeze, and then cause the cover to stick to the car). In one instance, I had to warm the car up before I attempted to remove the cover but this has happened with thicker covers that have 3-5 layers as well. I live in a very windy and rainy state and even though the car cover is lightweight, it stayed on my car since I made the effort to tie the cover down with the three black straps and plastic latches that are attached to the cover and the cover did NOT rip even during a recent tornado and several windy storms in my area. The only time the car cover blew off of the car was when I failed to secure the cover with the three black straps and that was my fault. As long as you buy the correct fitting cover and tie all three areas down (front, middle, and rear) with the provided straps and connectors then this cover will stay on your car even during violent winds or a tornado in my case. My house faces West and my driveway only gets 2-4 hours per day of direct sunlight in the summer so I suspect that it will protect against minimal UV exposure. Some customers have complained that this car cover does not come with side-mirror pockets and that is 100% true. However, the side-mirrors on my car fold into the body of the car with a press of a button inside my car so that is not a problem for me. I do not know of any cars made today that don't have either manual or automatic retracting side mirrors but I guess some customers of this product do have such cars. Please be advised that this is not the most durable car cover as evidenced by it's low price. If you have an expensive car that you constantly keep outside then I suggest buying a heavier/thicker car cover that provides better waterproof, frost resistant, and provides superior UV protection for about $100. However, this car cover has worked for me going on over a year now and it has NOT faded either. I give it 4 stars.
