Great Cooling Unit, BUT .... (updated) ..GREAT Customer Service
Unit performs well and does the job I bought it to do. Keeps hydroponic water at 69F. using very little electricity as there is no refrigerated chiller involved. Quite is a relative term. When fan is operating it is easily heard. MAJOR issue with me is that I have one question that would have helped me utilize the unit better, but no way ( that I found ) to contact a human to ask them this question :/ UPDATE: The company did reach out and contact me via email. They answered my questions on the unit. Above and beyond that... when the ballast went out after about a month of use, they very promptly (in a day) sent me a replacement at no cost. They were quick to address this issue, and performed true customer service that is above and beyond. I will definitely buy from this company in the future. UPDATE TWO : I have bought another larger chiller unit from this company. Also have had another above and beyond customer service experience with this company, as they sent me a new Peltier cooling block for my smaller unit many months after purchase. Timely service. Excellent customer care. I will continue to buy from this company.

Doesn't last long
I purchased this on 6/20 and started using it on 6/24. For the last week, it hasn't been cooling my tank. I cleaned it and the tubing and it started cooling the water down a couple degrees for a day or so and then yesterday (9/20) it burnt up. It only lasted 3 months. And if course support window for this product is closed so I can't even report the issue. Waste of money.

Works great - Puts out some heat.
Used it for a small 16L tank, 80-85º ambient temp and the chiller had no problem keeping the water around 68º. It did however put out quite a bit of heat from the unit itself, just something to keep in mind. Especially if you keep it under your tank in an enclosed area... It's going to get hot, quick. The pump that comes with it is trash. Switch it out ASAP. Not enough to take off a star since you can just use any pump with it but... Just be aware, it lasted me all of a month.

Didn't keep cool
I am calling tomorrow to find out how to send back. I have an axolotl that we have in a 10 gallon tank. Purchased this and it ended up freezing the tube never anybwater flow after the first 4 days. And couldn't keep it cooler the 74 degrees. Which is damaging for axolotls. Wastes a lot of energy and money. I hope i can return it. Tried defrosting and turning back on 3 separate times. Didn't even get to use it a full week.

Great for small aquariums.
I use this on a 20 gallon aquarium, and it does a relatively good job of keeping the water temperature at 65 degrees. Ambient temperature has a huge influence though... If my house goes above 78 degrees the water temperature also goes up rather quickly. This would be far better on a smaller tank, but for the price it does a pretty good job.

A bit pricy, but does the job. Did have a nearly DOA PSU failure however.
This is not active cooling, just passive. What we have here is basically two big CPU fans and cooling blocks used to radiate heat, this a third fan to pull air into the chassis. PSU on this unit failed on 2nd day. Seller was very quick to help and send replacement PSU, which was easy to install as long as you're not scared of screwing/unscrewing some wires. Seller was very responsive, so big plus in their favor. PSU is a standard type that can be had elsewhere if need be. The most important bit in this thing in the fan/temp control unit, the rest is just basic power wiring. The unit is for cooling only, and I am using it as part of the cooling loop in my 300W laser cutter. It's good for tracking temp of coolant, and is a good heat dump before going back into the reservoir. The pump that comes with it is kind of laughable, and you'll likely want to replace it depending on what it is you're cooling. Probably work fine for an aquarium, but for a laser cutter want to push as much as one can. Overall I like the unit, it does exactly what I wanted it to, but do feel it's a bit over priced for what it is, but that is tempered by the very responsive CS.

Excellent and Reliable
I keep two axolotls in a 20 gallon tank, and two newts in another. I live on the second floor of my building, so as you can guess, the temperature here fluctuates quite a bit with the seasons, which makes it fairly difficult to keep both tanks at appropriate temperatures. I'm currently using this tank chiller to keep my axolotls within a comfortable temperature of around 64 degrees fahrenheit, and it has not failed me once. For its size, value, and effectiveness, I definitely recommend this cooler over tank fans or frozen water bottles.

DO NOT BUY!!! (update)
Bought in July, used for 3 months and I can't seem to contact support so I am writing this review in hopes for a response and to you warn you away from this product. I use it for hydroponics and set the temp to 71F, after some time it will freeze and continue to try to cool, no warning or anything. After a few times it will die. For the price, it is not worth it, it's a POS!!!!!! Update: Seller contacted me and offered a full refund (pending), making this right by me. The unit should have some sort of alarm when flow has stopped flowing due to ice buildup.
