Great hat for short hair.

I'm so pleased with this hat. It checks all the boxes for me of style, fit, sun protection, and light weight/not hot. A fedora is to hats like the wayfarer is to sunglasses: cool, classic, and universally flattering. This is a great addition to my summer wardrobe, and much needed since I can't stand to be out in the sun without something protecting my head and face. Just an all around lovely hat! For sizing reference, my head is 21.75". I tightened the drawstring just a little bit and it fits perfectly. It was also wearable without using the drawstring adjustment, but it's just a little more perfect with it.

The color is true to the way it looked on my monitor, and the sizing is accurate (I measured my head with a tape measure). I like the color and shape of the hat, I like the way it looks on me, and I've gotten compliments on it. It is working well for me as a sun hat, and is a whole lot more presentable than my bucket hats from a well-known outdoor-wear brand. As far as packability is concerned, I never tried folding it into my suitcase, I kept it in my carry on (so it was folded a lot, but not so tightly pressed). That degree of folding did not have any ill effects. What's more, and maybe most important, it protected me from a bird dropping, right on the front of the brim. After cleaning that part of the hat, I could not see any area of fading. Not a cheap hat, but I'm glad I decided to buy it.
