Pro Fit Alloy Ergo Stem

Did exactly what I needed. I have a 54cm road bike, and wanted to reduce the reach (might have longer legs than most my height, and therefore a shorter torso). I went from a 100mm stem to an 80mm (this one), and it helped even the weight distribution and made the ride more comfortable. The quality of the stem appears to be good, and it's fairly light. It looks good, and I'm happy with it. Mounting it to the bar is a bit trickier than for stem with a "plate", as with this stem you have two vertical brackets. Just ensure that you tighten them all very evenly so that there is an equal amount of screw left showing between the stem and brackets for all four screws.

I used this on a 90's retro mountain frankenbike build. It worked well and was the only stem I could find that was short with a good upward angle. Note that this item is available in a variety of sizes and styles.

Ver nice riser stem for a mtb bike. Much more comfortable on the bike. Comparable in quality to the Easton stems that come stock on many "middle-high end" bikes. Recommend highly if you're looking for a solid riser stem. One word of warning. Beware of your front brake cable length and make sure housing is long enough if you're raising your bar with a riser stem. I worked for several years as a bike mechanic and saw several DIYers make this mistake and need housing replaced as well.

Fits all bike handle bar types! Very happy with this stems. My wife is petite and has a bad back. Her existing handle bars were way too far out on her road bike. This stem shortened the distance and makes rides much more comfortable for her. Note: I previously had returned a bike stem (60mm) which promised to fit a road bike. It didn't. This stem however works beautifully. Pros: - Fits all bike types, including my wife's road bike. - One of the shortest stems on the market. - Good price, especially on Amazon. - Easy to install, well-machine screws. Cons: - None!

Decent height and length boost. Quality looks good. I was initially concerned with the double clamp. After install I really like the clean look of it. It allows you to see the adjustment lines on the bars super easy and looks very unobstructed. Used it to mount a Salsa Cow chipper onto a carbon steer tube works great. Minimal flex.

Nothing much to say. Good price to quality ratio. I use this on my commuter (Rocky Mountain Hammer 1998) with a 620 mm Specialized handlebar. I got the 70 mm x 31.8 mm. I'm quite a small guy so I require a short stem on all my bikes. This one fit the bill and so far it's holding up well. It's pretty stiff, IMO. No problems as of yet. Highly recommended. UPDATE: Got the same one for my 96' Diamondback Response Sport, haven't installed but I got it on one day shipping. Still looks great and my last one still holds up well.
