This unit was 38% off at $30.39 ( "list" price $48.99) when purchased. And we've only had it one day. So this isn't about longevity or the finish. If it fails down the road for some reason (other than user error), I will revise my rating. A basic grinder was desired for the already-owned KitchenAid K45 series mixer. The desire to grind whole cuts of meat happened after buying more high-quality cuts from a local meat distributor that raises & slaughters their own cattle / pigs / turkeys / etc. A lot of it is not pre-ground. It probably will get infrequent use unless we find more uses, like grinding dry gluten-free bread into breadcrumbs. Or making our own fruit spread. The grinder is a great price so it has to be understood that it is NOT COMMERCIAL grade. Some of the pieces "feel" like low-grade castings. But, overall, it functions as a hardy home-grinder attachment for your mixer. Just clean all the parts BY HAND with soap & water.

I've uses this about 3 times and it works real well. It has plenty of attachments and is a great deal for the price!

I’m in love with the meat grinder . So as long as you freeze the grinder for a bit . Then use small cubed chunks that are also frozen. This grinder will work like a charm . I had no problems with clogging . Easy to use and the consistency was perfect . Cleaning the “machine” is very easy . I used my KitchenAid mixer on like 4 speed. This little grinder is well worth every penny I spent on this .

I ordered one and when we received it it was missing the pusher and the sausage tubes. I returned it for another one and when that arrived it had the pusher nut wad missing the sausage cubes. Returned it for refund.

Had a little hope before ordering these because these are very reasonably priced compared to KitchenAid brand attachment for their product but these are a great meat grinder attachment to have for a kitchen & it works very well. Further comments are below: Things I like about this product: - Does the job that it is supposed to do - Fitted well in my KitchenAid - Multiple accessories bundled in the package for various meat grinding needs - Comes in a nice packaging - Very reasonably priced product considering the competitive options Things that need improvement: - None as of now but do note these are not dishwasher safe Overall take: Functional product & highly recommended.

It works great with the Cuisinart digital stand mixer Costco sells. Instructions is clear and simple to put everything together. Quality is great. I tied it out to grind up fish fillets to make fish cake, the whole fillet went through easily without pre cutting. Can’t wait to try out making sausages. Highly recommended.

This meat grinder attachment is all metal and comes with a complete set of accessories. It has a large feed tray containing a grinding screw, two blades, two different sized sausage stuffing tubes, and a cleaning brush. It looks sturdy overall. Installation is quite simple: first, open the front cover of the vertical mixer to expose the power interface, then align the main body of the meat grinder and insert it, turning it once to secure it. Next, put in the screw, install the blades and the meat outlet tray, and finally close the outer casing and feed tray. The entire process requires no tools. When using it, first cut the meat into small strips, preferably slightly frozen to prevent it from becoming too sticky after grinding. Set the machine to medium speed and slowly push the meat down from above; it will then produce even minced meat. For sausage stuffing, put the sausage casing on the tube, replace it with the special non-perforated sausage stuffing tube, and slowly push the meat in until it's full. After using it a few times, I buy a piece of meat and grind it in just a few minutes, which makes me feel much more at ease eating it. The minced meat is uniform in size and has a good texture. The metal material makes it sturdy and durable, unlike plastic which is prone to breakage. While it can't be put in the dishwasher, washing it is easy: just rinse it with warm water, scrub the crevices with a brush, and let it air dry.
