BEWARE- zinc toxicity can occur with over 11mg. These are 100mg
This is my experience. There is nothing wrong with the product, so I am giving 4 stars, but it’s too high of a dosage for me, and possibly you too. I thought I need to find the highest dosage to help my immune system. I should have looked into it more. I have been taking it once a day, 100mg, for about 5 days. Almost immediately I was getting headaches, light headed and a sore throat. I didn’t put it together at first, that I started feeling sick on day two and thereafter. At day 5, I researched the max dose zinc picolinate, and there was my answer. Sore throat, headaches and dizziness are all symptoms of zinc overdose. Taking only one of these 100mg pills, I was unknowingly taking almost 10 times the recommended dose! I would recommend consulting your Dr and or research this type of zinc before you take it into your body.

Easy to swallow
I bought this to take as a daily supplement. It’s twice as much zinc in an easy to swallow capsule. My previous zinc supplement came in large, dry tablets that were not easy to swallow and had half as much zinc in them. These are a good value, and I will definitely buy them again.

Do not take on an empty stomach
Product as described. I’m taking zinc for the immune and skin benefits. I first took this on an empty stomach and had stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea-but it was my fault. THESE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. Now I am sure to take them after my biggest meal which is usually lunch. No problems since then. I will take these for 4 months then take a month off and then begin taking them again. I take Celtic salt as well to get trace minerals that can be diminished when taking supplements.

I'm Surrounded By Health Care Professionals!
My wife is a Nurse Practitioner, my daughter is a Radiologist, her husband is a Hospitalist (general practice), and my daughter-in-law a Registered Nurse. I'm currently 70 years old and am recovering from lung cancer surgery. Needless to say, all of the family keeps throwing advice my way, knowing that anyone with compromised lungs can't deal with Covid 19 very well. My wife and I have been taking supplements for years and that has no doubt helped me get to the age I am. We thought that we had all the supplements covered -- that is without going to extremes -- until my daughter and her husband called one night and recommended that we add 400 mg of Zinc to our regimen. After looking at the Zinc content in the supplements we were already taking, it was obvious that I needed about 300 mg more than what I was using. My wife gets most of hers through her treatment for macular degeneration but I don't have that problem. Once I started looking for large doses of Zinc it became obvious that the most common dose was 50 mg with 100 mg coming in a distant second. After researching the various doses available and reading lots of reviews, I settled on this Nutrivein product. I knew going into this product that Zinc potentially has several unpleasant side effects for different people. The recommended daily amount of Zinc is 8 mg for women and 11 mg for men. I knew that adding this much Zinc to my daily regimen could potentially cause problems for me. These include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, as well as kidney and stomach damage. So it's important that you check with your physician before taking large doses of Zinc. Many people are intolerant of such a large dose and some simply can't "stomach it". No problems for me.
