I really like this test prep. It gives ALOT of varied math, reading, and mechanical questions to test you for the OAR. I'd say pair this with the OAR Tutoring mobile app, and you're solid to go for the OAR exam! Heck, even if you don't have time, you can just practice with this book alone, and be sure to do as many practice problems as possible, and you should be good to go!

This study guide is well organized. The Secret Keys section and the Test-Taking Strategies section are especially helpful. Helpful bonus material is available online.

I haven’t took the OAR yet but so far this has been a good study guide for me. Everything is explained clearly and well.

Read the study guide. Reviewed it a few times. Scored a 44 on the AOR but was looking for a 48-50. The math, reading, and mechanical sections provide a solid foundation on what you need to know. I think the study guide lessons could have been more in-depth for the math questions asked. There were some math questions that I did not know how to go about answering even if I was reading the study guide. The reading section could have been more accurate to portray what is on the actual OAR. In the study guide you read a long paragraph or short story for a couple questions. There is no such thing on the AOR. All reading questions are a short paragraph with 1 question. Also, the study guide does not mention how long you get for the reading section. You get 30 minutes. The mechanical section was the best portion of the study guide due to the vast subjects it reviewed and what was asked on the AOR. I would recommend this to use in preparation for the AOR but I would find other sources to supplement this material.

The math is very basic and should only be used as a refresher. The guide needs more complex problems, such as word problems, numbering sequence, and geometry. The OAR doesn't give many problems in the basic form, it gives more word problems and you have to set it up to work the problem out. The mechanical section is very good and goes into much detail like the OAR. Overall the study guide is good to get you started and should be used in conjunction with other guides. The video links to further explain the problems is a major plus.

The guys did a great job with the material. It's a lot to cover and they did a pretty good job. The book format was more of a large magazine size as opposed to your average book. The material is a lot and they spend a few pages going over various tips on exams. I do wish however they added more practice tests. I found the ones I did only covered a smaller bit of what was studied. The company itself reached out to me after I left a review and have been very helpful. Overall I would say they did a good job.
