Well made and cheap. These work smoothly, and do not leak. Recommended I much prefer plastic shutoff valves verses metal. The metal ones tend to fuse to either the hose end, or the sprayer end (if it's metal) over time due to galvanic corrosion. Plastic to plastic or plastic to metal does not have this problem

Good quality brass , internal ball shut off valve used on my high water pressure cleaning unit . Shut off water supply before getting my gasoline driven unit started .

They work great and do exactly what they are supposed to do. They held up to the summer usage just fine. The light weight plastic makes it easier for me to use.

Not a bad little product. It helps if you don't want to keep running back and forth to turn the hose off. The only issues I had was the rubber seal on the inside starting to fail. This has caused some leaking. Other than that, it is quality for the price.

Plastic does not corrode and I have been burned by aluminum and brass couplings getting galvanically corroded together more than once. When that happens the couple must be cut apart, destroying it in the process. This coupler prevents that problem from occurring because it gets connected between the dissimilar metal hose fittings, separating them. I actually find the ball valve to be unnecessary, but I couldn't find one of these without a valve. It might seem stupid to make these without a valve, but there is a market for them. Think of them as "connector savers". One reviewer gave one star for the reduced size of the opening in the ball valve, but that has insignificant effect on the water flow because the friction loss and turbulence of the reduced opening is negligible compared to the length of the hose. That reviewer almost had me fooled, but I went back to my fluid mechanics notes. After having tried them in the real world, I am not disappointed at all. These are plastic, but strong enough to handle typical household use forces without breaking. If they don't hold up in the sun for more than a couple of seasons, they are still cheaper to replace than dealing with a corroded metal coupling.

Works awesome!! Our hoses always end up burst over time because the water pressure in that spigot is high and we can’t do anything about it. This little valve solves all that. First, we keep it switched in the off position all the time. Then, when we need to use the hose we just turn the valve open halfway. Very durable, it’s been in use for 6 months so far, through summer and fall when the hose is used the most. Writing this review as Ive come back to buy another one for my other water spigot.

Feels like samr quality as in stores but a heck of a lot cheaper

I keep buying these because the work so good. I now have these on every single hose at my house and even some tools i own that require water hook up. It is so nice to be able to shut the water off at the end of the hose. They come with a rubber washer.

Seems to be holding up. Perfect for what I needed it for.
