A lot of fun and nostalgia with my daughter!
I have to start out this review just saying I LOVE this product. I bought this for my two year old daughter, but if I’m being honest, I bought it for me too! Growing up I had a similar product that my parents and I used to build forts and structures. Hoping to recapture that nostalgia, I purchased this, I was not disappointed! Day one my daughter and I built multiple forts for her to play in, we both had a blast! We made some very basic structures but some complicated ones too. My daughter is constantly asking me to build a fort with her, so I would say mission accomplished in the fun department. I did find the rods were sometimes difficult to fit into the holes (due to being a tight fit), but I’d rather have it be tight than very loose and falling out constantly. The rods were also a little flimsy when it came to supporting a blanket over our fort, but a bed sheet worked just fine! Pros: Versatile Perfect for kids and adults Expands creative thinking Cons: Rods can be tough to push into hole Summary: Great product and worth buying if your kids enjoying building.

GREAT PRODUCT !!! GRANDKIDS LOVE IT !!!!!!!
Bought this for my grandkids and they absolutely LOVE it !!! Its the first thing they go to when they come to my house !! Keeps them entertained for hours building different structures .it is very easy for them to assembly and i love that the pieces actually stay together ! It doesn't come with a covering BUT all you do is throw a top sheet on it and its perfect . We have found it to be very sturdy and lots of fun !! Also love that it can be easily stored and it doesn't take up much room at all . I am very impressed with the durability of this product it stands up really well to my 7 grandchildren ! I would definetly recommend this product . Is also really cool to see them all spending time together and working together making different kinds of forts . This is one toy that never just gets thrown in a corner my grandkids have so much fun with this !!!

Fun time filler
My son loves to build so I bought 3 of these to make big forts. It's great for kids and teaches them good problem solving skills. I myself turn back into a kid at times. I just wish the holes were better machined. Some sticks pop right out and others take the Incredable Hulk to pull out. For this reason I think these are a bit pricey but still a lot of fun with my boy.

Excellent STEM activity! Very durable!
My 2 and 4 year old were constantly asking to build forts out of the couch cushions, so I invested in this set as an alternative. It is wonderful. I do admit that as I created my first structure, I was pretty confused as to why some angles were hard to achieve, but with a little bit of practice you will can see how important the orientation of the ball is. I've had it for a few months and all the tubes and balls are all in great shape. I can see this set lasting for years to come. No warping to the rods or damage to the balls at all. I found the balls to be a tight fit for the rods and needed to provide a lot of assistance to my kids to build (both are under the recommended age). Once connected the structure is very stable. Sometimes we leave the fort up for days and other times were unassemble when we finish playing. Either way, the creation is secure and doesn't lose stability. Obviously, not a structure for climbing, but a bump will not cause it to tumble. My kids have imagined their forts to be many things and often drape a blanket over it to make a cozy hideout. They bring their toys inside and have all sorts of adventures. The size of the fort is generous and kids will be able to crawl inside depending on what build you create. I purchased the set with 55 balls and 85 rods and feel that it is a good size set to keep 2 small children content. Happy with my purchase and know it will be used for years to come.

Almost Great
This product has all the makings of a great toy. Challenges the imagination, good hand eye coordination. Fun clubhouse/fort building. The issue is the tubes do not stay connected with the ball connectors. The slightest movement against the structure and the tubes come apart from the connectors and the structure falls apart causing frustration with young and older builders. I like the idea of this but would not recommend it.

Obuby is much better than the big name companies
My mom bought my son a box of the Discovery Channel ones three or four years ago and they have always had problems staying together, whereas these ones seem pretty firm and steady. These came with a storage bag which takes up much less space than the Discovery ones do. We had to keep a big bulky box stuffed in the closet for three or four years when not being played with because the Discovery ones did not come with a storage bag. One of the things I really like is the quality of the pipes. The Obuby ones are much thicker and stronger than the Discovery ones. This is a bonus in two ways: A) the Obuby ones are much more steady and not so wobbly. When a sheet or thin blanket is used as a tent covering, none of the pipes pop out nor does the structure sway, unlike the Discovery ones. B) they are not going to crack nor brake easily. The Discovery ones got little cracks on the tips of the pipes in probably less than a year, but I doubt the Obuby ones will do that from normal play because they are much thicker. You also get more for less. A 72 piece set from Discovery costs $40.00, or approximately 55 cents for each piece. A 120 piece set from Obuby costs $52.00, or approximately 43 cents a piece. You save 12 cents for each piece plus they have better durability which means they'll last longer and the kids can have more fun with them. I admit, I am surprised Obuby is better than the big name Discovery Channel Store, but I am very glad they are. It's nice to get your money's worth for once. I will happily try their other products over big name companies in the future. I believe you will be satisfied with the Obuby Kids Fort Building Kit.
