I'm bathroom fitter, I use this regularly, finally a proper metal built waste. I never had any leak, I dont use any sealant, no ptfe tape nothing, this just work perfectly but you need good bottle trap, I use with flomasta from screwfix and it works perfectly, other bottle traps have a small frame after the rubber seal and not fit to this waste hole so rubber cant seal.

Looks good the thread is smaller than a 32mm fit so you can’t get a decent seal it. Changed the bottle trap and even a new one wouldn’t fit so it’s the plug thread that’s wrong. Complete waste of an hour

It's a good looking waste for our sink as it matches the taps. But I found that when it came to fitting the waste pipe is the same diameter is this plug! So I had to run down to the plumbing DIY store and buy a European to UK adapter. It's basically a 1 ¾” inch to 32 millimetre adapter. TOP TIP: just bear in mind that any waste plug that you buy will always need PTFE wrapping around it before you put the bottom nut on. I found that they all tend to leak. You can also use plumbers mait as well which is a lot easier to use it's a kind of putty. The rest of it was straightforward if he had fitted straight away then I would have given it five stars.

Be aware the bottom of the thread for the trap is of reduced diameter, had to increase diameter with a Dremel to allow trap to fit. Seals between waste and sink are excellent. Looks good and works well.

If you are a noob trying to DIY replacing an old one, you may overlook the fact that not all wastes are the same height. Unless your trap is telescopic, you may find that this is too short. Mine was 2 cm off and it is not possible to just screw them together with brute force, as it will leak. So I had to buy a telescopic bottle trap, which the height can be adjusted on. I added lots of PTFE tape to all of the threads and no leaks so far. I didn't have any silicon or plumber's mait on hand. Using that is advisable but not essential? I also didn't go crazy tightening all of the joints with a wrench - just as much as I could do with my hands. Anyway, the product itself is a good buy and seems well made. I paid £4 via Amazon Warehouse.

Easy to fit, seals without buying extra products. Nut tightening tool is a bonus in a tight under basin unit where I struggled to remove the original with water pump pliers. Left the tool in situ for future ease.

Was not sure what to expect considering the low price for this article. Very steady, a bit heavy witch means quality, you can feel the the robustness. Fits very well on my bathroom sink! Will definitely buy this product again.
