I barely know how to get the bonnet up on a car, but this has made me feel quite practical. I have cleared many codes on my old E46, but also cleared codes on a Z4, an old Alpha, and I think made a huge difference to a Mini. Yes, you can buy a cable and try loading up software on an old laptop, but this is so easy, plug and play, and the device is well made, very sturdy.

If it’s your first scanner or you’re just a home mechanic who likes to repair your own vehicles I highly recommend this product. It feels substantial and well built with a rubber bump case. Works perfectly with an older BMW Z4 and Mini Cooper. Allowed me to register a new battery for the mini and get start/stop working. Also excellent for diagnosing beyond the normal P codes. Can read DME codes from the BMW computer. And also interact with various service functions, resetting adaptions, VANOS, TPMS etc.

Have a BMW Z4 with the electric folding roof. The system has multiple microswitches and sensors which unfortunately often fail to operate. This tool identifies which switch or sensor is not operating whether it be just stuck or failed completely. I can now determine which switch or sensor needs to be adjusted or replaced which even though I am not a car mechanic I can do myself saving £ Hundreds on garage bills. The tools is simple to connect and to use. Yes I would recommend to others

Bought this because I had a srs warning light I had bought a blue tooth adapter and App not only did the app fail to reset the light but found no warnings at all. Plugged in the ancel and it found several fault codes including the srs and reset them all first time of asking . Not cheap but did a good job and I have it for the future . So I'm very happy.

Bought this to code one injector (3) on my BMW E88 as the images show this device not only does not have the "space" and "point" characters to enable the correct format of injector values (2 sets of 3 numbers) it also deleted the last digit from the injector 4 values!! Causing me more issues than I started with I have updated the device to no avail odd thing is YouTube video from a year ago shows missing characters on someone else's device funnily enough he also had issues coding injectors STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEVICE!

Purchased to register a battery change for a 2016 BMW 1 Series. I recommend this for anyone wanting to work on their BMW/MINI or check fault codes etc. Very easy to use, I also found a few videos on YouTube from people giving demos. I needed to update the firmware on the device to get full functionality and be able to register a battery change on a 2016 F20 BMW, straight forward via the manufacturers website. I wonder if some of the reviews on here saying it didn’t work are because they didn’t update the firmware to a version that includes their car model? So if you’re in this position yourself I’d say give that a go and try again. (need windows computer, go to ancel website, register email, download the software update file, install that file on your computer, connect the scanner via USB cable supplied and one click and it updates very quickly, I’m on version 02.09). I also got a quick response from the seller (and others on amazon) to a question I asked.

Bei meinem BMW Z4 (E85), ein reines Sommer Männerspielzeug welches nur bei absoluten Schönwetter betrieben wird, leuchtet regelmäßig im Frühjahr die Warnleuchte für ABS und DTC Fehler auf. Auf Dauer ist es mir einfach zu aufwändig und auch zu kostspielig um den Fehler wieder löschen zu lassen. Mit diesem Scanner konnte ich heute den Fehlerspeicher tadellos auslesen und den sporadisch auftretenden Fehler (kurzzeitiger Kommunikationsfehler Sensor vom vorderen Hauptbremsdruck Zylinder) problemlos löschen. Genauso habe ich mir das vorgestellt !

Easy return

Um meinem BMW e46 330CI Baujahr 2000 auf den Zahn fühlen zu können, habe ich das Gerät bestellt. Versand über Amazon wie immer recht flott. Das Gerät selbst ist super verständlich da es eine gute Menüführung gibt. Sprache eingestellt als erstes und los geht es. Hinterlegte Fehler lesen und anschließend löschen war kein Problem. Am besten finde ich die Echtzeitwerte wie : Leichtlaufswert & Lamdasondenwert für jeden Zylinder. Jetzt weiß ich wo ich mal genauer suchen und in die Tiefe gehen muss um das Beste aus dem alten Motor zu holen in Bezug auf Wartung/ Langlebigkeit. Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung :)
