It's fun to use to anoy others as well as giving myself serotonin.
This thing is fun. It has settings for loud and regular volume. It also has a high pitch setting and a lower pitch setting. It can be used more quiet but if you squeeze the mouth it gets louder. My only issue is not with the product but myself and that is when I forget to put the actual setting to off. If you don't remember to actually turn it off like any normal electronics device then the battery will drain super fast. I usually use rechargeable batteries for this reason. It is sturdy and the face is nade of like a silicon so you can squeeze it.

Loveable!
It works well, it has 3 different settings for pitches ranging from a low B flat to an ear piercing shriek. My friends and I love this, it's so fun to use and when you practice, you can make some funky tunes out of this magnificent boi. I named him Jerry, and everyone loves him. Great quality, and it makes a great gift for anyone! Would highly recommend, and I already have.

Cool, Silly, Avant-Garde, Arty etc.
This is not a toy for the average/normal. This is a specialty product for the musician who has everything but is always looking for that extra something to add to the show or recording. Like any instrument, there is a little learning curve, but you need a good ear since this is fretless. I like combining it with beats and other toy instruments (sometimes with a looping pedal) to make funny and challenging avant-gardening music. (Don't wear gardening gloves - it makes noting harder.) Audiences are extra entertained by it's novel appearance and nasal sound. It can also be used for evil, if one wants to make fun of that nasal-voiced boss behind his back, in the employees smoking room during stolen breaks or long hours hiding in odd places when avoiding doing that back breaking, mind numbing job... stuff like that. You know. Great sight gag on stage!

It definitely is more of a toy and the sound is absolutely annoying, but anytime we play with it
These are hilarious! I have a family of musicians and impulsively bought one of these for myself. After playing with it, my brother begged for one as his Christmas gift. It definitely is more of a toy and the sound is absolutely annoying, but anytime we play with it, we just crack up. I've walked in to find my brother and father (at different times) playing it along with whatever music they were listening to. If you're a parent with a child and you get easily annoyed by noises, I would not recommend this. If you are a child at heart and want a good laugh (or a musician with a good sense of humor), definitely check this out!

Surprisingly well made
The otamatone which shipped all the way from Japan was shipped quickly and safely. Upon arrival the quality of the product was unlike what i expected. The feel and build quality is nice with the only, but important complaint I have is the fingerboard, which is how the instrument is actually played. The fingerboard featured a wide range of pitches that are completely precise, unlike other "toy" instruments that are just a couple of buttons hidden behind a cover, allowing for total control of pitch. Due to the fingerboard being constructed this way, it was difficult for me to play the pitches as the fingerboard didn't respond unless I pushed it in a precise manner, not even reacting to my press if my finger wasn't positioned perfectly making performing the instrument more difficult than needed. (Although i am sure that as i practice the otamatone more i will become accustomed to the precision needed to play) Overall I am more than content with this product and would without a doubt recommend this to anyone with a musical background that desires to be a one-of-a-kind performer.

It's a toy
I bought the medium one as a gift for a friend. The medium one is alright as a gift, it's just a funny little toy that they can bring places and it's a fun party gadget or something. But it's just a toy. If you wanna actually play music on it, get the big one, because on the medium one, your fingers are always in the way of the notes you wanna play - most of the time you can't really reach the next note, which is usually placed really close to the one you're currently playing, so your finger is kinda blocking it. Good as a toy, not very good for actually playing music.

Like a hamster, only better
I’m not sure what it is, my kids asked for it so I bought it for them. Makes a wahwah sound 🫠 looks cute. If this is what you want you should buy it. And if your kids want it it’s not very loud. It a perfect instrument that’s not too loud! It’s like a having a pet hamster, only better.
