Groz 34514 30" Indestructible Sledge Hammer, 10 lb

I'm a union iron worker ,this beater(hammer) is both heavy enough, to get some power,. and light enough, where you're not exhausted carrying it around all day.

Sweet hammer. Handle feels good and seems like it should hold up great. Have a selection of 4lbs but wanted a 16" that was a bit heavier. I would rather not swing a long handle sledge hammer at cars I'm working on so this should help me avoid that more. Have only used a handful of times so far but I'm impressed with the lack of vibration in the handle and confident comfortable grip. Update Been using this quite a bit over the last few months. Feels like new and confident it will last. Can't belive how much harder this hits than my 4lb and doesn't feel as heavy as it should. If you need a short handle brute hammer this is a good choice.

It is what it is! Very -- sledgey! I recommend it. It was a riot how carefully it was packed! Wouldn't want to risk breaking this indestructible hammer! :-D photo below.

I almost gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think the cost could come down a little, but taking into consideration this is a tool that will likely last for most if not all of the rest of my life and possibly beyond, the extra cost spread out over the time that the hammer will last is negligible. Additionally, the time it saves me from regularly replacing broken handles that couldn't withstand the force I exert is priceless. The main reason I bought this was because I got tired of replacing handles all the time. I opted for the 14lb head instead of the 10lb that I had originally planned to get, and I have no regrets. I've been using it regularly for the past few weeks to pound a diamond-shaped wood-splitting wedge into large tree rounds. After a couple medium hits to secure the wedge in the wood, one good hit is all it takes. The rubber handle absorbs/distributes the strike very well; my hands don't feel as much of it as they did with a wooden handled sledge. I did have one miss when I was delivering a series of hits to separate a branch from the trunk of the tree round, which caused the round to bounce off of the chopping block a little and become unbalanced while I was bringing the hammer down. The result was a very small blemish on the handle near the head, but nothing likely to affect the structural integrity of the tool. I am curious to see how the rubber handle holds up over a long time. I will report here if I experience any issues with this sledgehammer, especially within the 12 month warranty period. So far, so good!

Had one for decades - wood handle, no frills. This one has better grip and other worthwhile features. Confident that it will be safer. And, it is easy to find given the neon color. Expect this to be my last one.

My iron worker son liked it very much, but informed me that I bought too short of a handle. I had purchased the 16” and he said it should come up to at least your elbow. I think he wanted the 24”. He exchanged it for the longer handle (always easy with Amazon) and is quite happy with it.

Excelente marro bebé. Es algo pesado, pero funciona perfecto, muy resistente. Yo lo uso para llevar junto con una cuña. El inconveniente es que el precio es alto.

Me agradó, este martillo GROZ se comporta bien y parece ser resistente (sólo considero mejor al URREA indestructible), parece ser de buena calidad y los terminados son aceptables, aunque descuidan algo los detalles en las marcas de fabricación del mango, lo malo, es que no sé si en almacén o en el trayecto de entrega como me pasa en muchos pedidos, maltratan mucho los paquetes, este martillo lo recibí con la pintura dañada y el mango algo raspado, como si lo hubiesen aventado y lanzado en varias ocasiones, Amazon debe tener más cuidado al manejar los envíos, últimamente he recibido muchos productos con daños.
