The trimmer is fine. I've had one for a few years, but a tiny piece of the plastic broke off and the trimming head became very unstable. I've been very pleased with its predecessor. It trims my beard as I want it, runs for weeks on a single battery and is easy to use

This shaver is quite good, however, I am not particularly fond of the new packaging. The previous plastic packaging was reusable, allowing for convenient storage of the shaver. I still have the old packaging, which I found very useful.

Since I turn forty, some two years ago, something happened to my facial hair. It's gone wild. Grows out of every hole, orifice, wrinkle, sideburns, everywhere, it's out of control. So There I was, in desperate need of a solution. Something needed to be done and quickly. Enter Philips Multi-Groom Ultra Precise Beard Styler Series 1000, or as I like to call it, “The little Philips”. I started with my eyebrows. The little Philips comes with three little combs, I used the one labelled S, and surprise, it cuts to short. Luckily my eyebrows grew back in no time. So now I use the larger comb and it is working a treat. I like it's small size, it makes the little Philips easy to handle and unobtrusive when trimming facial hair. I like it so much that I also use it in my sideburns. I trim them a little bit with the M comb, and give the last touches with no comb attach. My sideburns now look perfect all the time. It works so well that I started to wander if I could do some styling “down there”. And I did. I like to call it “ The Crazy Mohican”, it's so much hygienic than going “full forest”, and it makes me feel fresher. My wife said she likes it, she thinks it makes me look younger and cooler. She was so impress with the results, that she asked me for a piece of the action. So I trim some of her hair too. She definitely looks cooler now. The little Philips comes with a foil shaver head, which I had no use for it, till I realized that my neighbour's dog could do with a hair cut. It worked perfectly, now that the summer heat is here “cuddles” is relived of all that unnecessary hair. So all in all a great piece of machinery, I will recommend to anyone who is over forty, has a wife or a neighbour with a dog.

product was used for facial hair trimming and it works very well for thin hairs, i use a set of rechargeable barratries and just replace when needed, the power is fair on the unit but could be slightly better or blades a bit sharper. I find after using about a year + i take a extra few passes over hair to make sure its all cut. the foil shaver does a very good job and the normal trimmer attachment, cleaning both blades can be a bit fiddly but its necessary. update after 6 years: the blades themselves are running better than ever to my suprise, my rechargable battries ive since swapped to some stonger capacity but still provide adequate power. The only thing ive lost at around year 4 of use was the foil trimmer attachment has degraded to the point the foil does not protect you from the blade inside. ive checked for replacement parts for just the foil shaver adn its about the same price as a full new unit so decided to leave it be and just use it as a trimmer with the main attachment for any precision touch up work.

Very lightweight and easy to use, and great for traveling also as its battery powered no need to worry about chargers or adapters if abroad. Small head so was perfect for maintaining detail/beard outlines.

Finding the product snags on stubble of beard and sideburns- appears blunt. Difficult to use effectively

Compré esta cortadora Phillips después de olvidar una Braun que tenía (que luego encontré de nuevo). De cualquier manera funciona perfectamente bien. La batería dura y la uso cada 3 días porque al ser calvo me rasuro la cabeza con regularidad y sin cargarla a menudo. Lo único que no destacaría es que los números 3,4,5,6 y 7 vienen en un único cabezal con una palanquita que regula que número vas a usar (no son 5 cabezales independientes sino que todos los números están en el mismo) así que si lo pierdes te quedas sin 5 números de corte. Por lo demás es muy compacta casi cabe en el bolsillo y muy completa. Cumple de sobra.

Pontos positivos: Máquina atendeu as expectativas do produto; Bom custo benefício, não deixa em nada a desejar quando comparada aos outros modelos da mesma linha (como a versão "feminina" deste mesmo produto, a "Philips Bikini Genie") e ainda custa um pouco menos; Peças removíveis são laváveis com água corrente; Máquina leve e de fácil manuseio; Potencia boa, consegue aparar os pelos sem dificuldades, na peça sem pente plástico deixa os pelos quase rente a pele (afinal é uma máquina para "aparar" pelos, não uma máquina "depilatória" como giletes ou cera quente); Não aquece demais e não é muito barulhenta; Chegou dentro do prazo de entrega, caixa original do produto em boas condições, nenhuma peça inclusa faltando (pentes de variados tamanhos, por exemplo); Pontos negativos: Não vem com suporte para guardar a máquina e acessórios, possui apenas uma embalagem de plástico (não resistente) na qual a máquina vem entregue, e que você pode adaptar para guardar o produto se quiser (porém não é essa a função original desta embalagem plástica); Não chega a ser exatamente um ponto negativo, é mais um aviso, cuidado pois a máquina é extremamente afiada. Recomendada a utilização do pente acessório de plástico menor (pelo menos na região íntima), pois utilizar ela sem nenhum pente acessório (no "zero") pode facilitar muito os cortes acidentais na hora do manuseio. Pontos neutros: Funciona a pilha, mais especificamente 01 pilha AA. Isso pode ser bom ou ruim, depende da preferência do usuário. Saldo geral: é um bom produto, custo benefício compensa, vale a pena a compra. Obs: lembrando que é este produto é um pouco mais barato que a versão "feminina" dele que é quase idêntica, mudando somente as cores da máquina. Fica a dica para as mulheres de plantão 😉
