Superb Tires!
I ride daily, regardless of weather. The best tire I have found to date is most definitely, for this application, the Schwalbe Lugano (HS 384). Quite simply, they are superb in ride quality, traction, and tread life. I have run many tires over the years, and though they all have their individual strengths, there are few tires that have the overall performance of the Schwalbes. The tread shell offers excellent puncture resistance, though for the summer attacks of the dreaded tribulis terrestris, the goat head thorn, it's best to supplement the tire with a Tuffy Strip. Those little bastards are tenacious no matter what brand of tire you run. These clinchers are very hard to find locally, so I've gotten into the habit of grabbing a spare pair here online. Shipping is convenient and fast! It's always a good idea to be prepared for that possibility of a road hazard, like a large piece of glass. These tires mount readily; after the initial stretch, roadside repairs can be done even without the assistance of tire levers. The tread lasts an amazingly long time, typically 4000km on the rears, and 9000km is possible on the fronts. At 9000km, the "herringbone" tread is still in good shape, but many miles of little glass cuts have accumulated. The Luganos fare amazingly well under the "glass attack", with excellent cut resistance beneath the tread band. No deformations here, or bulging inner tubes.I've used some really expensive tires over the years, both folding and conventional wire bead, including the top of the line Vittorias, Michelins, and Continentals. They all have good feel, but fail in the tread wear category. Amazingly, on sprints, I could really get the Vittorias to squirm about; though one would think that rapid tread wear is a trade for grip, the Schwalbe is far more predictable.Overall, I cannot speak strongly enough for the Schwalbes. If you run anywhere near the 20,000km I do per year, decent tires are a must. These weenies won't let you down!

Trouble free miles
These are the tires that came on my Cannondale when I purchased it. I wasn't sure what to expect but I have to say that I am very pleased with how they held up. I was able to get almost 1200 miles out of this tire on the rear of my bike and never once had a flat or tire problem. I could have probably gotten even more use out of this tire but it happened to get a side wall cut in it. It was still holding together and I wasn't having problems with it but I didn't want to risk having a blow out so I replaced it. Most all of the tread had worn by the time I noticed the cut. Purchased another and hope to have the same experience.

Good Tires, good price...
Works well for what it is. It lasted a season or warm weather riding. I won't buy again because the Vitoria Open Corsa is comparable in price an is obviously better. But if you get a good deal on these tires they are fine. Faster than gatorskins.

Works well-good traction and lightweight.Soft material seems to attract punctures. Flats weekly were common place. Finally tired of replacing tubes and just spent the extra money for a Michelin. No flats anymore.

Schwalbe Lugano HS 384 Racing Bicycle Tire
Replaced my rear tire with the Schwalbe Lugano right before riding the Ironman 70.3 relay this summer. I've been on a few rides in addition to that and have been satisfied with the performance so far. Since I've had the tire less than a month I can't comment on its longevity. Good price.

Performance every day.
Although I ordered yellow and received black the tires are doing well on my daily commute to work. As a matter of fact they probably saved me from a number of scrapes when I have dragged my pedal while pedaling through turns. The tires retake the road instantly and I am going to purchase another set for my Raleigh in the very near future.

Great for the price
I love the price and I love the tires. Simple as that. I am not a pro, not even an amateur. I just ride to enjoy. It's only been a week since I got these tires so there's not much I can say but it's great for the price.

The Lugano tyres are fast and grippy but, perhaps as a result, short-life. I have had several bursts with them (always from a sidewall bleb), occasionally in potentially dangerous situations, and have now moved on to Continentals which seem much more robust
