Low Histamine Probiotics

I have MCAS and IBS-C. I learned that regular probiotics can actually make people with MCAS worse, so I decided to try HistaminX's probiotic, but there was no improvement in my symptoms. As my hail mary, I switched to VitaMonk's Low Histamine Probiotics, and I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed to alleviate my constipation, nausea, and stomachaches quite a bit. I also started having less bloating, although not as much of an improvement there. If you have MCAS, it's definitely worth giving a try!

I started taking these probiotics several weeks ago and have noticed a change in my system. I take Two of these at separate times daily. Along with taking a histamine block DAO capsule from Seeking Health, I have had far less eczema. I had a strange redness around my lips that had no bumps. I knew it was from an over abundance of histamine and my body unable to break it down. These two items have been lifesavers. I was able to eat pizza with mozzarella cheese today! But I can’t do that all the time, or the symptoms return some. So am learning my tolerance level. Adding a buffered vitamin C powder fromThorne really helps keep the immune system up and have read it reduces eczema as well. It seems to be helping me. So will use these three products from now on. This probiotic is wonderful as it doesn’t include common allergens that produce more histamine. Great product!

Las he tomado por algunos días y me siento bien en cuanto a digestión y ha colaborado a que el cuerpo me pique menos en general. Sin embargo, tomo diariamente un antihistamínico para mi urticaria. Lo recomiendo como un complemento, no como un tratamiento en sí mismo.

I want to say that this company took every measure to make sure I was a satisfied customer. I unfortunately cannot take these due to maltodextrin. But the company gave a full explanation as to why the probiotics contain maltodextrin, and they also gave a refund without question when it didn't work out. I definitely will be buying from them again, even though this one didn't work out for me. It is rare to see such caring customer service in today's age. I definitely recommend anyone to buy from VitaMonk.

From my histamine intolerance this probotics works well. I have no reaction to it, like I did with other probiotics. It doesn't stop the reaction but I find it helps lessen the amount of reactions for me. I know everyone's histamine intolerance is a little different.

I had an allergic reaction to these, anyone with MCAS who experiences this- it's probably the capsule not the product itself. It's made of hypromellose cellulose, a common excipient trigger for people with MCAS. I was so excited to find a low histamine probiotic, I wonder if the seller could possibly try an alternative capsule, since there are probably many with this disorder specifically looking for a low histamine probiotic. Although I have no idea what type of capsule would be needed to ensure that the probiotics stay intact long enough to be absorbed so maybe that's not an option. I appreciate the company working with me on this issue. I decided to change my rating (I was not asked to) because that speaks volumes, and even if the product didn't work for me I'm sure it does for plenty of others.

Probiotics are individual and a total crapshoot (no pun intended), so your mileage may vary. This supplement happens to be my unicorn at the moment. I started taking it after I had been having some issues with histamine intolerance (mainly with insect bites) not long after a course of antibiotics. I thought the fermented foods and probiotic supplement I was taking to cope with the digestive slowdown after antibiotics might possibly be exacerbating the hives. I’m unsure about whether or how this probiotic supplement impacts my histamine intolerance... it subsided shortly after I started taking them and hasn’t been back, but the issue always comes and goes with me, and we are out of bug season now. I will definitely continue to take these because they’re phenomenal for my gut. It’s a little hard to know how big of a role they play because I’ve also cut gluten and dramatically reduced dairy, but I’m much less bloated (by which I mean both slow digestion and water retention) now and I do think they deserve some of the credit. I now take one pill a day, unless... um... there’s a traffic slowdown, then I take two for a few days and it all gets back on track. These were out of stock briefly after i finished my first bottle and I tried something I thought looked similar. That was a disaster! I don’t know if it was product quality or Specific strains (that one had acidophilus), but I gained 2 pounds of water weight in 3 days and I was constantly running to the rest room.

Very odd reactions to this probiotic. First, it seems to go to my head after taking it. Low grade headache, and somewhat dizzy for a bit. Then I felt like a flushing sensation with tingling. Then my stomach (later in day) started to hurt. Don't like the feeling at all. I first took it for 3 days straight but kept getting a little worse, so I stopped. Got much better. Then decided to try again. Took it for one day, and symptoms started up again. Sorry, not for me.

My histamine intolerance had gotten so bad I was reacting (hives) to almost everything. I have been taking this for aprox 2 weeks now and not changed anything else and have seen a steady improvement in my symptoms which I am very happy with

Worked well within a day of reducing symptoms. However if miss a dose the symptoms do return. Hoping the long term use will reduce histamine levels permanently.

Bought these because they looked like good quality but I am definitely mistaken. The packaging and brand name is completely different to what I ordered and the probiotics have brown bits in them which definitely should not be there. They have either been handled poorly or are of terrible quality (most likely both).

My daughter is going through topical steroid withdrawal and I was looking for something that can help with her gut. Normal probiotics have strains that are no good for people with her condition.. I read about this in a support group and bought it. It’s a long way to arrive in Singapore but she has been taking it for about 2 weeks. So far so good. No adverse reaction (touch wood) and so I hope it helps with managing her gut better .
