NP-W235 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery

Let’s get this out of the way. It isn’t cheap and there are third party options out there. But, the BC-W235 is the kind of charger that does its job so well, you barely think about it, and that’s exactly the point. Built for Fujifilm’s NP-W235 batteries, it’s compact, solid, and refreshingly no-nonsense. Plug it in, pop in one or two batteries, and watch the clear LED indicators do their thing. You’re not going to find the third party options have all the necessary pins for charge and heat management (don’t do it!). The dual-bay design is a real win for anyone who shoots often or travels light. Charging two batteries simultaneously saves time and faff, and each side gets its own status bar, so you’re never guessing which one’s ready to go. It’s fast and noticeably quicker than charging in-camera (which isn’t great for the body anyway). This is the kind of kit that earns a permanent place in your camera bag. Lightweight, reliable, and well-built, the BC-W235 adds just enough polish to make it feel like more than an accessory - it feels like a proper part of the Fujifilm system. That all said, DON’T skimp on batteries get the originals, you will regret it if you don’t.

A good item to have if you don't like using your camera to charge the battery, plus you can only do one at a time whereas this will charge 2 at once. Works well with genuine batteriand also third party ones, had an issue at first where when charging 2 batteries at once only one visual charging display would show, however after a bit of research it turns out you need to use the usb cable and plug supplied with the camera not just any old usb cable and then both displays work at the same time. Well made product but can't help feeling it should be included with the camera and not an optional extra, but that's life these days. Highly recommended.

This works extremely well, charges two batteries simultaneously and is quite fast. Clear readout of the state of charge of each. In camera charging is OK, but you can't use the camera whilst doing that. For me it is better to have two batteries and swap them over, so I can continue to use the camera whilst the other is on charge. No lead is supplied so you need to use the one that came with the camera or alternatively a USB C to USB C lead.

This should have been in my £2500 FujiFilm X-H2s camera. I knew it was not included but to ask you to pay extra for a charger is nonsense. I know that you can charge your battery via the USB-C port but for anyone who has experienced a camera being ruined due to spikes in the power supply then this is a no-no. Its a good charger, well made and effective. Although I haven't opened it, I hope the high cost means that some sophisticated electronics inside will protect the batteries from overheating or being affected by mains fluctuations. It must have cost all of £10 to make and transport from China so for once, as a FujiFilm fan-boy, I say poor show FujiFilm San.

The XT5 is not cheap and the batteries are not either. But I prefer to use the original batteries over cheaper ones available for peace of mind. There was a slight discount on these so I snapped one up.

Pricey, but they work reliably.

You get what you pay for. This Fuji battery charger powers 2 batteries at the same time and you can see the % as it is charging. Superb.

I was concerned about charger not doing both batteries simultaneously. Here are the facts, use a usb a - usb c cable and it will charge only one battery. Use a wall usb c and it will only charge one battery. Use a usb c plug (I tried 3 different ones) and it will charge both batteries. I also tried 2 usb c cables and both charged 2 batteries. You do not have to use the supplied Fuji items that came with your camera and then worry what happens if they break. I like the shape and display of this unit.

Grata sorpresa. Me lo esperaba de mayor tamaño y es ligeramente más pequeño que el BC-W 126S Fujifilm que utilizo para la XT3. Poder ver el porcentaje de carga para mí es perfecto. De momento, solo he necesitado cargar una sola batería y ante esto cumple. Veremos cuando tenga la necesidad de cargar dos a la vez. El aspecto que menos me gusta, es que no se pueda conectar a una toma de corriente directamente sin cable, como el BC-W 126S que antes he mencionado. Y aunque esto no me supone un problema más allá de la comodidad, puedo entender que para otras personas sea un contratiempo. Por lo demás, me parece un cargador solido, pequeño y de buen material que por el momento cumple.

Die Akkus werden mit diesem Ladegerät schnell vollgeladen. Und zwar auch 2 Akkus parallel (entsprechend leistungsstarkes Ladegerät voraus gesetzt, z.B. original Fuji). Ich besitze auch noch ein weiteres Ladegerät von einem Dritthersteller würde aber dieses hier empfehlen, auch wenn es etwas teurer ist.
