This light works. I sliped last winter and caught my self with the base of my left hand as i fell. I have had chronic intense pain in the base of my left hand just under my thumb since then. I bought this for my father to help his shoulder pain AND IT DID. So i borrowed this lamp from him and have used this lamp 2 times so far for 35 mins each before bed on my left hand. I laid down and laid the lamp on a shoe box on my left side and put my hand on the box & focused the light on the base area of my thumb..This lamp gets warm NOT hot & I held the lamp right on my skin for 35mins and moved my hand around a lil bit.. The morning after the first use I thought i had imagined that it had helped reduce the pain in my hand. BUT the following morning after the 2nd 35 min session before bed the chronic pain at the base of my thumb was drastically diminished. I mean i could actually use my hand without being in pain and my hand no longer continually ached. :) In a few more 35 mins sessions before bed i am confidant that the chronic intense pain that i have been dealing with for the last year in my hand will be totally gone. I am buying a second lamp now for myself. Best natural relief healing lamp ever.

I bought my 1st infrared light bulb this April and my entire family (of 5) used it daily. We decided to get another. What we use it for: 1. 15 yr son had knee pain and Ortho wanted to perform surgery. I said no and asked for physical therapy. He improved but could not play sports without knee pain. He started red light therapy to help with the knew pain, he is doing so well he rarely uses it for his knee now. like OMG! 2. hubby uses this light to treat sore muscles. 3. I used it to treat my hormonal acne - yes it helps reduce acne scar and inflammation. 4. we all use it to relax in our living room and reduce anxiety and stress.

Seems to deliver some warmth like a heating pad so thats neat. Super impressed with the aluminum heat sink it even has texture on the fins to make more surface area for cooling. The lamp socket could be sturdier but otherwise it seems to be a solid purchase. Edit: I had some droopy plants by a window I wanted to see if it would help. Its' light is bathing the street red, pretty strong.

AMAZING so far. I just got this red light therapy lamp a few days ago and havd used it on many areas for pain relief and i am so happy with the results. I have chronic pain in my knees, feet, back and neck and this product had helped all. I still have pain but i am hoping over time it will be even more diminished. I used it on each area for about 20 to 30 minutes from 3-4 inches away. The light is mildly warm but not hot. Some reviews mention that it quits working after time, but my thought is if i can feel better and it works for 2 months...saving me from doctor visits , cortisone etc., it would be worth it to buy a new one from time to time.

The lightbulb works, but the fixture stopped working after 2 months.

This light came with a clamp that can clip on the side of my bed and table, which is very convenient to use ( I found many other brands on Amazon only had the bulb and you have to purchase an extra base). The package is very nice and protects the product very well. For the first few days, I used it once a day for about 15-20 mins and my knees felt better. later, I used it twice a day also for my neck. The pain relief is real. Overall, buy it, if you want to try red light therapy.

I purchased this instead of getting the facemask type which are quite expensive, at some point I will get one. Unfortunately this item failed after only a few uses, at first I hoped it was the base and used another of a similar type(has the visible spectrum but not the invisible light spectrum.) bulb to test it and it didn't work but worked in the hardware store clamp base. Then I tested this bulb in the hardware store base and it still did not work, but the other bulb work did which makes me feel that both the bulb and the base failed somehow. I don't know how they bother failed at once, they weren't even plugged in, and had only just been stored the day before, it was working when stored. Getting a replacement and will update if it does or does not continue to work. Replacement I was sent wasnt the complete unit that I originally puchased and received, disappointed in Amazon honestly, I purchased a bulb and clamp base combination and they've sent me just a bulb replacement. Ive removed another star for listing inconsistency issues that caused this issue. 3rd edit, minus another star. Hilariously even though I decided to send the replacement bulb back because it wasn't what I'd previously ordered and was cheating me out of money value compared to a complete return. I plugged it into my working hardware store base and the replacement bulb didn't work. Found a better bulb.

The light shipped quickly. It was easy to assemble. Just insert the LED light into the holder and plug it in. The light is very bright. My daughter was very interested in it as well so if you have kids be careful they do not look directly into it. Red light therapy is popular and this light works and was affordable.
