This book is very good for anyone looking into Germanic religious practice, especially as it reflects greater Indo-European and later Esoteric Western practices.First It gives the cultural, migrational, and spiritual context of the Goths per the historic perspective.Later it goes into depths of religion and how the influenced Germanic faith and later Christianity.Lastly the book goes full force into the Gothic Kabballah and Runes with metaphysic implications.A mixture of this book and books on the Gothic faith from Alefric Avery would be enough to fully revive a Gothic culture and religious practices, in my opinion.This book should be paired with the book Northern Dawn from the same Author.

An amazing book...so much info about the Goths I may never have known otherwise. He wrote this book, I felt, with great inner knowing which enhanced his scholarly knowledge of these mysterious & amazing people. He seemed to convey a sense that their ties to history are etched, into the present, like some sort of invisible ink. From Gotland they came, with a force & influence, that surely left it's mark in much of Europe.

Estas y muchas otras preguntas son respondidas en la brillante exposición que el autor Edred Thorsson hace en este libro. La información que el autor revela sobre objetos llenos de historia, rituales paganos, antiguas escrituras, claves de mitos y leyendas, nos revelan la magia de la cultura gótica en su sentido esotérico .
