I'd heard Nigella Lawson mention Aleppo pepper, so as a hot pepper sauce fiend, I thought I'd give it a go. This is so delicious - I sprinkle it on everything, especially scrambled eggs, but also on top of curries and noodle bowls. It's quite fruity and a gentle heat. The vibrant red colour also adds to the the look of the dish. I've used it in foods as an ingredient to add heat, but I think this is best used as a seasoning/garnish at the end of cooking.

I bought these because Nigella uses them in a lot of her recipes - I can see why, it’s lovely and also really pretty to use as garnish. I love it for sprinkling on eggs, avocado toast, and any warming soups. Big bag so I split it with my mum (save old spice jars to decant this in to so you can easily fit in the cupboard)

Bit hotter than my usual brand but mild enough that you can still sprinkle it over anything.

I’ve been using these silken flakes of deliciousness in so many dishes, but mainly just sprinkled over things liked baked Turkish eggs (which is what I bought them for in the first place), grilled fish and vegetables, soups, chicken... they add warmth and flavour but not a fiery heat. It’s a largish pack so I have shared some with grateful friends, it will gladly order again. A bargain. Yum!
